don't need so particular, just ride as normal but don't do wheelies or red lines before the temp hit 3 bars.
just keep it under 5-7k km until your bike is 3 bars on temp and you'll be fine.

just like modern cars, our modern bike no longer need to waste 3 minutes of fuel to warm up. NO IDLE/STANDSTILL NEEDED.
*
noted.
now before hitting 500km mileage i keep it under 8k rpm...
after that change EO then only rev more than that.
hitting 1k mileage change EO again.

but using semi should be good to go right?

going thru ur thread about EO few times...but still not 100% understand it all...
for example, i goto motul website check for motul 5100 stated got eratec(correct term? forgot ady)...but u said tak ada...

but i will avoid those EO that dont have the "donut", but still need online search about one particular model of EO before purchasing it because the label didnt state it out all the "ingredients" inside it..

like i said, don't bother. just straight away go.

if you want, can consider straighten the bike first before starting. just my ocd superstition that a side of the engine isn't soaked/lubricated laugh.gif
(notice how you need to straighten the bike to inspect the sight glass on engine oil level)
*
apa itu straighten the bike?

turn the key, don't engage the ignition ready yet, the fuel pump will slowly prime the fuel, use this time to wear your gear. then engage ignition ready, you won't hear the fuel pump sound as opposed to permanently leaving the ignition ready switch on all the time (some people prefer that, 1 less step).

then hop on the bike, lift the side stand, at this point your bike is straightened instead of slanted, THEN finally push start.
*
think i do that everyday and even on my previous bike...
normally my practice would be unlock the keylock, but havent on the display (think this is the ignition ready state), then i push my bike to front gate, take my sweet time close gate and lock gate...
then turn the key and display turn on, wait for a while like 5 secs...then only start engine...
but i didnt sit on the bike, still slanted though...cause my behaviour to let the engine warm up to 3 bar temp...

tmr start use ur advice... thumbup.gif
sit on bike then only start engine...

I use torco for regular maintenance and if I wash the bike /DE grease the chain then I'll use liquid wrench (from ace hardware)  penetrating oil (like wd40) and chain lube then torco again as final touch after done cleaning

And why change clutch bearing?  You poisoned by other R25 members also?  Until now no one can give me concrete details of the bearing fault lol
*
i dont quite understand the first sentence...
u mean torco chain lube? apa itu DE?
first wash bike, then grease the chain, then apply wd40 then chain lube?

yeah, kena poisoned by them, better safe than sorry...anyway, the OEM bearing still good though...keep it first...

Glad you're okay. Claim from your insurance (coz for 3 months, NCB still 0 IINM, unless you transfer from old bike) and from the bridge company too for maintenance negligence (is this possible? try to determine whether the area that you fell is under bridge company jurisdiction or not).
*
still PLUS highway, not yet inside bridge area...
google around about this incident, end up dun wan to go to these hassles...
i say to myself, if money can solve the problem, then i need to suffer on my financial for few months...thats all..
just consider myself unlucky to get into this accident and lucky at the same time cause only minor scratches on my body..

i need my bike to travel everyday from BM area to georgetown to work, EX5 cannot tahan my weight...
even now the bike shop proly need 1 month or so to get it fix depends on parts availability...
havent quote me exact price yet, wait them check all the parts that need to replace and fix...

Any recommendation on a good lock to secure our bike? Xena disc lock any good?
*
using one, good to scare off those pencuri, but wont avoid those fucukers that comes and touching and sitting on top of your bike...

my bike is fine, much better condition than i am at least.
and most importantly, you can easily replace broken parts, unlike humans that need a long time to heal broken bones sad.gif

if anything, it's one tough cookie, way tougher than i am nod.gif
*
u gonna heal stronger than before...

fyi, for those that are riding yamaha bikes that got recalled as publised at yamaha website, i just went to penang dealer shop and ask the staff there.
proly after raya they will send out letters to owners and ask owners to go dealer shop to get replacement.
they will check in jpj website and get owner information there.

this is what i get from the staff.

Maybe 1 cyl vs 2 cyl? Or maybe Ninja is made by Kawasaki and Duke is by Bajaj KTM... whistling.gif
If still under warranty, better go to SC because later if got problem your warranty is still ok. There has been recalls regarding R25 btw...
*
if no service under SC?
first time ride 250cc, totally forget about SC...
for cars i remember but for bike totally forgot...

hope they still can change the parts for me on the R25 recall...

Ikut nasib. Sometimes okay. Sometimes not okay.
Usually they just check your service record (service book), see if there are official chops/stamps everytime you service.
*
langsung tak ada service booklet...

from my spreadsheet:
First 500 KM service
Motul 3100 gold 4T 10w40

Second 1250 KM service
coolant replaced
Yamalube 4T 10w40

Third 2550 KM service
Repsol Racing 4T 10w40
bought from Tesco (highly recommended when its on promo for around RM40/liter)

Fourth 5070 KM service
Motul 7100 4T 10w40

oil filter replacements on 2nd/4th oil changes.
and now i am sticking back to regular Yamaha OCI instead of the half intervals like the 1st and 3rd ones.
*
my bike just clocked 5k mileage since last oil change, and the ODO meter start flashing "oil" word to inform me to change EO.
i dont have the owner manual with me, but how to reset the "oil" word flashing? simply ignore it?

btw, using amsoil which supposed to last more than 5k mileage...
