Not that reeech 😌

My RC 250 top out at 155kmh. What size smaller? Can keep up with R25 pun ok already. Always get left behind when convoy... Summore taktau jalan. Gg kat situ. 😅
*
i dont know the standard sprocket size of rc250. But, normally, for higher top end, going for smaller sprocket is the answer. The drawback is you loose your acceleration time. It takes longer to accelerate.

155 is already fast enough. But how much revs before going to the redline?

That's where you're so wrong lol

One is a naked bike, one is a super sport styled bike.

Just the handle bar alone is a huge difference in comfort level.
Just so you know, you're going to be tucking in /arched back most of the time on the R25 lol

Redline at 13k rpm .. Shift light blink at 10k rpm ..

But 155 still not at redline yet, around 11k rpm liddat baru dapat, itupun dah tidur atas tank tongue.gif . Can't get more than that even at Mex and can't stay long at 155 also, I geli kaki from vibration sweat.gif

Your r25 is much more comfortable than my rc lol. Last week ride with my friend who owns a r25 to teluk cempedak. He rode on my rc, after 1hr into 3hr+ journey he gave up and curse at me.. " Give me back my bike ! " ranting.gif laugh.gif

yes i am well aware of the big boys.

however in recent 2 years heavy attention have shifted to the lightweights, to the point yamaha even call it "lightweight supersports" and im not kidding:
http://yamaha.com.hr/upload/Dokumenti/yama...15-yzf-r320.pdf
yes i know many enthusiasts especially the old timer will disagree me calling a r25 a supersport but thats what yamaha and almost all other manufacturers are calling them these days.

but yea, you CAN tuck in pretty tight with the R25.
it's just a bit small for my size (not so much for the shorter/smaller people) where my leg will go off its pegs to make room for the arms so i can tuck them in, and even the helmet is hitting the tank.
wind protection is pretty good too with its fairing (yes i know you cant compare to the big boys lol)

now!
as you're well aware, it is "almost" up right riding position.

it definitely isn't, as the handle bars are akin to those on super sports, short, bend towards rider, LOW.
to the more aggressive riders who lower their front forks, you get the idea lol.

you'll be VERY inclined to do a tuck in even on casual riding as it's (yes again i'm not kidding) more comfortable tucking in without the wind beating on your body.

see the dilemma?
don't tuck in = haha wind/lol bike sliding around from air drag/cross wind because it's stupid light - not comfortable
tuck in = lol back, to *MOST* people - not comfortable either.

personally i prefer tucking in, and i don't have back problem *yet* so yea lol.

sorry didn't know you're on the non-z
regardless, as some pointed out, 250SL is not a supersport, its just fairing equipped.

the ninja 250R is the kawasaki's lightweight supersport equivalent to the Yamaha R25, and the NEW Honda CBR250RR (not the CBR250R)

case in point, refer to :
kawasaki: er6F vs ZX6R/ZX636
Yamaha: xj6 diversion f vs R6

super sport characteristics are insanely high revving, power band focused on the top end, and are generally aimed for enthusiasts wanting to bring their bike to the track smile.gif

the mid/heavy (literbikes) can't even unleash a quarter or even half of its potential on public roads without having huge risks of crashing or even dying.

see, i've always wanted a sport bike, what became the last straw/pushed me over the edge, was my friend's ZX636, going side by side my inspira, wave bye.gif , and he just, vanish.
i look at my meter, i was going over 140kph on karak highway.

i told myself: i want something like that someday tongue.gif

fast forward today, i still couldn't own one yet, but at least its like a baby/trial version of an actual supersport.
