hmm.. this is the response i get from G5.. I try to check the merchant name at google and it seems it is not exist. I still not yet decided to place the order so I asked GemFive rep. I got my answer and then sold out already.

had my doubts on gemfive but tried to get one set anyway, sold out when i was filling in my address details. but seems like they update every hour to add stock

As for me, I would rather purchase direct from manufacturer website or its shop if there is any. So that I have peace in mind and no worry about the legit phone. I don't want to have sleepless night for getting a fraud phone that is not worth the money paid.

This is correct. XiaoMi officially said the only valid channel is via mi.com/my. For directD if they sell Malaysia set, but I didnt see yet in their page, that would be covered warranty under DirectD.
