Imho BSD beading is so so, however its charm lies in not just beading, but water sheeting and repellency as well. Anything left over will just bead a little.

I don't dilute BSD personally since I typically use it during drying after wash, which means the left over water will dilute it already
Not to mention serving as a topper, and speed up drying even more.

The new ones so far ok, and if you're using it a lot after washes, chances are the sprayer will last all the way until finish.

So in summary, I wouldn't be bothered about the spray gun issue.
