It's of course possible.
Numerous audio converting software can do that. Easy CD Audio Converter, Goldwave, etc... |

That's a bad thing to do. Converting an mp3 to an mp3 will degrade the music quality quite a lot. If u dont mind the quality downgrade, then go ahead. If not i recommend converting the source directly to CBR. e.g. rip the CD right into CBR.
explanation: when u compress an audio file into an mp3, the software takes away bits of the song file, thus it's called lossy compression. When you convert an mp3 to an mp3, more chunks of the audio file are taken away, as a result the sound quality is further degraded |

Yea,i know but what alternatives do i have since the source file itself is in mp3.....its for one of my cuz's V3i,was shocked when i found out it couldn't play VBR files. Newayz, using Xilisoft Audio Converter now...
