some older device cannot support VBR

for example, the E398 i m using(same old firmware)
can onli play CBR mp3.....it fails on VBR....
so i need to convert them....

explanation: when u compress an audio file into an mp3, the software takes away bits of the song file, thus it's called lossy compression. When you convert an mp3 to an mp3, more chunks of the audio file are taken away, as a result the sound quality is further degraded

depends...

lets say u hav a VBR 160kbps.....means average bitrate is 160kbps
and assumes that its max bitrate is 200kbps
if one convert to 256kbps....i don see any losing point......
but more useless bit used then....hahaha...

clarity always lost when u convert further lower the bitrate.....
