Its ok... but not clear enough.
I made a 1280 x 960 and paste this into it to pan to fullscreen.
The result is quite good except that its a bit blur...

QUOTE(kelvinyam @ Apr 20 2007, 07:46 AM) Most ppl who compare them nevers compare them side by side. But I dont really wanna comment on their comparison. Aego does sound pretty good with vocals and highs. It also has a subwoofer which helps out with the lower note but its too small n not ported. Therefore its a bit underpowered but only when you turn the volume pass 50%. S2000 on the other hand, sounded smooth no matter how u play it. The highs, vocals, and mid are excellent. However since its a 2.0, it means that it doesnt cover the lower extension (<80Hz) as good as Aego which has a sub. The thing is that, you can turn the bass knob all the way up to 100% and have all the bass you need. But that totally defeat the design of S2000 which was to create a less fatigue sounding system when used for long hours. When you compare both, well, its very close. But its very easy to find out which is which. Aego is a bit harsh and sharp. S2000 on the other hand is more to the smooth sounding and the soundstage imaging is very good. While AegoM does better with bass, S2000 excels with midbass. No MM speaker can reach the level of midbass it has. If you happen to have a chance to test S2000, please turn the volume knob all the way up. It sounds better when loud. Unlike other speakers, S2000 still sounds smooth even when playing loud. I had my S2000 volume at 6 o'clock and -5db in foobar. No distortion or whatsoever. |

Nvm lar... Im blur also... not really familar with Edifier organisation structure...
Anyway, Edifier, what soundcard are you pairing your S2000 with? I feel the BB DAC is a bit inferior to the EMU0404 DAC that Im using now. |

QUOTE(devil75 @ Jun 8 2007, 11:53 AM) You would need a soundcard (be it onboard, pci or external one) to have a SPDIF out. The other one would be optical out(infra-red). Both are considered digital, just different technology and using different cables. Then make sure your speaker do indeed support SPDIF in. SPDIF cables looks like RCA cables while Optical out (infra-red) features a tiny head on both sides. Not point using digital mode, if you have a soundcard with better DAC, like Prodigy or X-Fi. QUOTE(blackshirt @ Oct 17 2007, 07:47 PM) Something in HD is coming tomorrow! Whats that?High Definition Audio [192kHz / 24Bit] 140Watts Drives you away, Something that ICON you, The Signature Series, Stay Tuned! S3000??? Honestly ask Edifier use better component inside next time. The DAC could be better and the opamp also. The sound from my S2000 DAC is so so only compared to my Digital Music SX modified with LME49720 opamp with CS4398 DAC. |

Overlapping product...
But then again, its just more choices for us which is good... There is nothing special with MK2 unless you plan to watch lots of movies with it. |

The most ideal position for subwoofer would be at the corner of a room.

Although AegoM is superior than most MM speaker out there in terms of clarity, I dont really rate it very high. After all it still sound thin like all MM speaker with 3" or less sattelite drivers. If you really want a decend sounding speaker, look for a set of 2.0 speaker like R3 or S2000.
