hi bro, i have some doubt here abt maximum wattage output...
for 477mhz range, is it maximum wattage output up to 1 watt only for all the radio? or it just limited the family radio but not for professional radio? as i know, motorola malaysia produce GP2100, GP328, etc... the factory settings of output voltage wattage are 4 watt for 477mhz range... if our MCMC have the rules that maximum output only 1 watt but why motorola malaysia can product 4 watt product? sweat.gif but as i tested with GP2100 and TK3107 with 4 watt, the maximum coverage are only up to 2-3km at ground level only... imagine 1 watt only, i think within 1 km also problem... doh.gif
anyone can assist me to clear my doubts?

hi aaaaa,

bcos i saw ur post at vertex thread... said that 477mhz range only can limit up to 1watt and also found some info around this thread that 5w enough to transmit the signal till Indonesia with proper setup, thought factory settings wattage output violated the MCMC rules... sweat.gif

i can understand ur frequency reuse means, the stronger wattage output and who is the one can get the specific frequency to communicate... is it correct?

usually seller will say the maximum range can cover up to 5km but that is point to point WITHOUT any obstruction... that why i required to test on the normal ground level to understand its range capabilities on normal condition to avoid any issues later...

about the mototrbo, it was no a frequency based equipments when in digital mode and wont pollute RF Spectrum?
