any reccomendation for mobile and base use?

for my setup, mobile i'm used VR7 + handy icom V8...for base i'm currently used homebrew antenna astra, some says antenna kaki ayam or antenna 5/8...previously i'm using homebrew double zepp.....both antennas good performances for simplex....

okey... if u hv more budget, take a diamond antenna.. more gainer..

but, supercall or others is ok too..
i hv 1 diamond, 1 supercall, 1 quaterwave supercall & 1 AutoOne VR4 for mobile

for base, take F22 or F23(dualband).. de popular one..

Did you Homebrew ur Zepp Antenna ? with copper pipes ?

hahaa.. 101 is the most popular one for the beginner.. good choice there..

try 101S, more wider range, if i not mistaken from 117-170..

but, if more budget.. try SG2000 la.. hehe.. true diamond style..
