which motorola model? those talkabout units? those scanning are like shit la ... chanel spacing are just not for spacing, it will only scan the pre-set channel only ...

gp328? no scaning ... gp338? no scaning also ...

whats important for a ham radio set is its scanning capability and direct channel input ... vfo.

gp328 n gp338 can only scan a few channels or frequencies? im blur by channel n frequencies bt i can use tat n sometimes can hear other ppl using on construction sites or those tow car ppl use wan

Exact price I cant recall. I bought with 2 more rigs but roughly its 1.3k for the set + 400 for the accessories like antenna, charger, mic and cable.. all original.

Scanning freq generally all ham radio can scan. For VHF the rx can be as low as 134 and high as 174. For sets like Vx7 or equalvalent its 0.5 to 999mhz. Full range scanning from HF (FM) till UHF.

so itz abt 1.8k which means ure lettting go at? 500 brows.gif hmm.gif

Alamak, DONT transmit without the antenna. You will fry the radio. Amateur radio stick with the major player. Icom, Yaesu, Motorola, Kenwood or Alinco. RM500 to RM1.5k will get you a good set. Brand wise its very subjective like Nokia and Ericsson. Most of my sets are Yaesu, cannot get along with my Icom buddies when discussing radio brands hahaha. Sensitive topic.  flex.gif
