In the previous post, I saw names/brands like puxing 777 and tk508. Is it recommended for noobs like me? Just for monitoring and just to get hang on with QSO.

i heard frm my fren motorola set really exp bt not worth it since u get like the same function from yaesu or icom bt cheaper though no one can deny their toughness n loudness correct me if im wrong?

me? got Icom IC-2200H... hehe..

very user friendly and can change the LCD color maa... biggrin.gif

but if its built-in fan, can be better loo...

also the PTT too big la.. more cun if it lit small.. more cute.. biggrin.gif

high power, 65W, also high audio output... best for monitoring...

hi aljebat...emm maybe u can elaborate more on what is the prob with the V8 batt..coz i tried using V8 for about 3-4 months not prob what so ever..the only drawback bout the V8 is the size & weight and also the standard batt is only 660mah if not mistaken..so if u plan to buy for monitoring purpose is fine but for TX is fine also but the batt won't last long..unless you buy 1200mah batt and that will cost you roughly RM 100 or less..

better take kenwood TK-508 hehehe..cheap and reliable too...

I think the problem he meant, it took 12 hours to charge. hehe

owhh that prob..from what i was told by frens the V8 only have to be charge bout 8 hours or so...first time charging..

tk-508 batt capacity is 1200mah..

what r u waiting for...come get one unit la..hehehe
