people call that a "cakar ayam" ... looks like X50N from Diamond but the elements terbalik la ...

bro joejoney..wanna ask u bout the Yaesu FT8800H (Dualband VHF/UHF)...this want the face can take out or not?..what is the market price rite now?

yes, that 8800 comes with a detachable face plate ... bout 1.2k if i am not mistaken, get the 8900 la ...

u only get the 8900 if u wan the HF band ... or else stay with the 8800, but both has got the cross band repeat ...

the 7800 ... so far haven seen anyone using it yet ...

yup.. agreed with earl-ku...

haven't seen anyone using 7800... but i recommended 8800.. biggrin.gif

i buy it only RM1190++

the good is... cross band repeat, now i can using 'ketul belacan' to on air..

hahaha, ketul belacan ... ncie la, if u are always around the 8800, ifin the car, that set must always be on la ...

got one ham member was using a 8900 with a alinco DJ-C7T ... 0.3w Tx to the 8900 ... syok!

haha lu set kat base ... means u can go around your home only la, depending ur antenna set up, with a small handie ... gi mamak senang la ... so thats why u using that China Kenwood rite ...

yup... thats y i got one UHF kenwood tu.. hehe...

make it portable and easy to QSO loo... but in good performance..

anywhere and everywhere.. near the base la.. biggrin.gif

if like that ar, i would rather get a motorola gp series ... bulky, but the speaker power ...

nak hantak orang pun senang la ... durable ...

thats cross band repeater la ...

FRS set or any UHF set TX --> UHF Dualband Set (with cross band repeat)

UHF Dualband Set TX --> VHF in the same set to repeater

receive in the same way ...

masuk ke set to VHF band then to UHF TX back to ur UHF set ...

hehe

it sounds kinda confusing ...means in the same mobile set it Tx back(the VHF it receives) to ur set in UHF

means ur moblie set is jus like a converter.
converting frm UHF to VHF (While u are Tx) and VHF to UHF (While u are Rx)

correct correct ...

but heard the crossband repeater function on the 8800 is hard to set ... as compared to 8900

me personally i haven tuched it before
