Playback watch rmvb with DVD player, and Nero Mpeg2 Codec Plugin

hi guys,
1. mostly the downloaded file is in *.rmvb, how do i watch it using dvd player besides burning the file into dvd format? can i just convert it to any format and straight play with my dvd player?

2. when i want to save my *.wmv file to SVCD format using Nero, it request to purchase the mpeg2 codec, so what can i do? is there any other mpeg2 codec which i can use beside the Nero?

3. how come when i burn my *.wmv into VCD, the image becombe very fast, and the sound comes slower than the image?

guys, please help me wiht these questions, ok.. thanks.

DVD player only played DVD format which is in MPEG2. So, no matter what, you gotta convert ur video into mpeg2 and burn it out b4 viewing them in ur DVD player.

some DVD player in the market support, DIVX format (using AVI container, i think) now. If u have this kind of player, u can convert ur videos into DIVX format and view it wth the DIVX supported DVD player

dun think any piece of product that support real media in the market....if does so, it sure is a superb hot cake.......haha
