Taiwan has been hit by 7.2 earthquake and the international link cable has gone down. Other ISP like Jaring n Maxis are affected as well.

I guess this thing will last for another few days.

JARING - Announcements .. There's your answer. I do admit though, being an 'avid TMNut critic', so far I'm equally amazed and pissed off everytime when they fail at notifying users and let their 'customers' do the job for them. Get paid for services and free PR? Priceless...

U guys complain that TMNET sux but for today its not their fault. Taiwan was hit my an earthquake and all internation line was effected. Just imagine Malaysia was hit by an earthquake (i know this will not happen, but who knows), what then. Why complain when u guys knows that TMNET cant solve the problem when in fact, they did not cause the problem.

Well I do not hope TNB takes over the broadband line, but im hoping that TNB participate in providing their own Fibre optics for consumer. Therefor there will be a competition between TMnet and TNB.

TNB does have their own fibre optics connection through out all Station in Malaysia. And the best part is its only being 15% utilized. They even rent it to maxis for their broadband connection. Their system is totally independant and not related too TMnet.
Compared to Jaring, TNB is much larger company with Assets larger then TM group therefore surely there will be a fair competition.
