Hello guys..
I've been leaving the Blizzard Background Downloader to get the latest WoW patch.. but its been at 0% for two days now.. anyone else having this problems?
I've used the downloader before to get WoW 2.0.. so should not have any problem downloading it.. yet so far no luck.. 0%
Anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions to the problem?

Lol, dont worry about the download percentage now. You have like 20 days before the patch goes live.

same. its 0% to me about 2 days, then become 3%, somehow later (about 1 day) 18%.
its just doing it stuff, leave it alone.

Inoran > There are no error msg so far.. and the tracker window is active.. its contacting a few sites.. and it is actively seeking other seeder to leach from.. but if data dont transfer in 1 min it drops that seeder and try to find other ones..
It SEEMS to be working fine that way.. but the downloader havent found 1 seed that can start transferring data in 1min.. and that is weird considering alot of people are doing the download right now..
anyone has other alternative to get the patches? besides using the Blizzard downloader?

If you are familiar with torrent , u can use utorrent client and go to eg : D:\World of WarcraftCache folder and look for the filename : BackgroundDownload
Use your torrent client to open the file , then it will prompt u where to save the file.
Done in < 1hr

Dunno how blizzard codes their background downloader but that POS suck worse than a RM20 chicken.
Just like Dopp said, grab the torrent and use your regular Torrent client to grab the patch. Just remember to copy the downloaded files into the worldofwarcraft/patches folder when done so the game can see it.

I also don't quite get it by what you guys meant by opening the torrents from the directory unless you're trying to say there's a torrent links out there to complete the file. Mind sharing a little details on how to set em up? Cheers.

In your WoW directory there is a Cache folder. Inside the folder is a torrent file. Use your BT program, open the torrent file and you will be downloading the WoW patch using your BT program.
The WoW Background Downloader is essentially a 3rd-rate BT program lol.

Probably you should look at this solution http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/266382Other than that reason, the international link is down, so it will be a bit of problem to get connected as reasonable speed.

The download is moving slowly.. but its better then nothing.. and I think it should be complete by the 3 weeks time it take to fix the underwater cable so for now I'm just going to let it do its job.. and wait it out
