I noticed most hypermarkets were displaying this China made brand quite some time. I know it's generally meant for the lower to middle class income people but the price of their product were pretty decent compared to the reputable brands in the market. nod.gif

I have never tried using this brand before. I saw some attractive prices online such as below unsure.gif

I know that LED TVs price has gone down over the past years. Just wondering if this brand is ok or kaput (spoil) in 2 years time! hmm.gif

actually its hard to tell how long it will last ( for all product and brand ) , even some very well known brand also kaput after a year or less ... as long as there is official support from the manufacturer ( warranty & repair ) .. i think should be fine

Pictures quality is decent, the only big problem with this tv is the branding. They should come up with a nicer name than hisense. It really sounds cheap and lousy.

As you judge from my reply, it is quite obvious I won't buy them. It is a branding problem and also pricing and specs dont attract me enough to sway from Sony, Toshiba, Sharp and Panasonic.

Always see them displayed at Desa Home next to the other brands.

I don't mind another China made TV though, which is the Xiaomi. Their 70" smart TV using Sharp panel has very good pricing and interesting features.

owned one. the 50" non-smart TV. working fine, picture and sound quality is ok for me as i am not very particular on this. as long as it able to show me the HD quality, nice sound and nice color.

the down part of this TV, i could say is the processor, quite lagging when you want to switch between HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 or to any other sources. the respond would take about 3 seconds.

Image search "desa home theater"...there's lots of promo flyers...

There's a hisense thread some time back with more feedback...

Hisense bought over sharp's TV factory in Mexico and the rights to use the sharp name in americas...
