Hi all, firstly, sorry if wrong topic to post under.
Was checking out m3 and have some question hoping members here can help enlighten.
1. I'm driving a potong (proton gen2) currently. Is the noise (wind blockage & the kruk sound when going over speed bump and cornering) as bad as potong or negligible if comparatively speaking?
2. What's the differences between the newer model's SkyActive vs older model? (I was looking at second hand version, maybe 2011 or 2012 models)
3. What's the rough maintenance and upkeep is m3 looking at? I heard that m6 is high on maintenance (normal and major service).
Thanks

The noise is by tyre to road surface. The suspension is not to all M3 and also it can be fixed ( temporary / permanently ) 2. Skyactive come with all those skyactive technology while the old 1 doesn't have. Old model still a good car to drive I would say, but If you can get a new car why not? 3. Maintenance price is not on the cheap side, yet not on the high price side. For new M3 come with 3 years/ first 30k free labour and parts. As for reference my gear box have some sound issue, and it been replaced totally free. My pov, if you can manage to get a new unit, just go for it. While you getting 2nd hand unit, you will have to pay instalment on the loan and also need to prepare some money to car service and maintenance. QUOTE(shai_razi @ Jun 6 2016, 03:51 PM) Thanks for the updates, guys. to be honest, new car = 100-120k, used car 50k .. that the main reason.. .. but still thinking.. Likewise, I've tried google the differences but cant find. maybe my googling skill sux.. lol also, what does NVH stand for? Thanks

QUOTE(shai_razi @ Jun 7 2016, 10:07 AM) If you are going for 2nd hand, why don't you check at mudah. There are 2nd hand M3 CBU going for 90k++ Used M3 CBUM3 CKD 2ndM3 CKD HB 2nd90K ++ is abit on the ceiling for second hand for me.. for 90k, I think i'll go for m2 new car instead. However, for m3 year 2011, it's only around 50k++ which is reasonable for 2nd hand car. If i waited till next year, i think i'll get the newer FL version instead for roughly the same price. I'm the stingy uncle type ( ) and is also the typical msian who is budget conscious This post has been edited by Dovienya: Jun 7 2016, 01:23 PM

QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Jun 7 2016, 01:33 PM) Something similar. I went to Puchong branch and they showed me the list. They even have white color which is the one I want last time but they told me already sold out Technically, i can go any branch to check? Pre-own = demo car or internal staff car that used for few year before re-selling back to market?
