Guys,

I received a summon bearing my car plate number from PDRM Klang and the date of the offense was mid last month.

However, the car was not driven into Klang at all, ever! rclxub.gif

Anyone faced the similar situation like me before?

Yes; I only found out after I'd checked on MYEG. You can do the same by checking on MYEG. Alternatively, you'd have to pop into the police station and ask for a picture (you may have to pay for that). If they don't have a picture, then unfortunately you'll most likely end up paying the fine -- unless you have some other solid evidence you can use as proof that you were not in Klang.

Its a pain in the arse, and a massive waste of time either way. Good luck.

Could be a case of cloned number plates. Make a police report to protect yourself.

Thanks for your advise. I did checked MYEG earlier before I posted on LYN but in the summon details, no picture is attached or car model/color is indicated.

To solved the issue with my speeding violation in JB, they ask me to go to their traffic saman hq is Johor Selatan or something. I'm in KL so I ask them to email the photo to IPD Dang Wangi that is KL and u know what, they cannot do that. WTH.. I must come to JB to solve the issue. Don't know laa, maybe their computer system network got problem or what at that time..

My wife's case, her IC number got summon when check on MyEG. Surprisingly that summon was close to 10 years ago, driving an unknown car with no idea whose plate number. Called pdrm they ask to come make report. too much hassle so i just pay.

If the police refuses at all to help... and you still want to maintain your innocence (you know you're right after all)
then you can challenge the summon in a magistrate court.

If you can prove at the date and time the car is elsewhere, I'm sure the summon can be quashed, even if you cannot prove it, then the judge may lower the fine giving you the benefit of the doubt. Many people will not waste their time to fight this, but with you willing to fight to prove your innocence, trust me, the judge will consider this.

I've been to court for two summons before, so I'm speaking from experience.

nowadays pdrm really rajin at doing saman job

yesterday juz saw a slip on floor, it againts a motorcycle wrong parking spot, the owner might juz dump this slip... and that place used to be no one bother come to saman for a long time, only 2016 now pop up again...

the true lesson is "gov really need more money now", don't play play with parking

I just received a "Peringatan Notis Kesalahan Trafik" stating that I have an outstanding traffic summon that I should pay off. Then only i found out from MyEG that i committed "Disobeying Traffic Sign" at Kampar in December, which I am sure the car is not at the Kampar at that time.

Due to me being station oversea, my dad when to Bukit Aman to check on behalf and found out the summon is served for illegal parking. My dad inform the police that I am not in Malaysia at that time and was asked to proof this by providing my passport entry/departure record to the police.

Anyone face the similar situation and manage to solve this issue?

On a side note, why would the police need to proof that I am not in the country when my car could have been driven by other people?

wrong...

for summons ther e are 2 types... saman ekor or direct summons... either will have proof of type of vehicle and color..

the right thing to do is to lodge a police report on the duplicate car plate.. it might be just typo when the officer wrote down the summons, or it might be real duplicate.

did this before.. lodge an official report and get them to investigate. do not pay the summons.

I've visited the police station that issued the summon and explained everything to the officer there last two weeks.

Unfortunately, he asked me to write the letter to the address stated on the summon (think it's police HQ or something) and brushed me off. He snickered and said that there are a handful of people that claim the car that has been summoned is not theirs too. bangwall.gif

If I break the rules, I'll pay. I'm man enough to face the music.

In the end, I asked my mum to officially lodge a police report to avoid trouble and I've to draft the letter to the police traffic to explain every damn thing. vmad.gif

Waste of time and money. So inefficient. Why the victim need to face such trouble?

right now I've got 2.
one with RM150, and the other is RM300.

the RM150 is last month.
but the RM300 is last 2 months.

why the heck they didn't inform me about these?

--- just checked on MyEG ---

I do have the summons, but no picture.
still got to pay for it?
