yeah. i remember those days buying ps1 getting 10 games free hahahah. or get the ori demo disc at least kekek. nowadays gotta buy full price and really put in the time to get the full money's worth. so far im doing alright on the investment, but not much disposable after savings and such put aside.

My gaming experience over the years tells me that end of the day, there's only a few truly good game that we can replay countless time during each console generation, hence no need to buy every highly rated game, just buy a few good one in our favorite genre. During the ahem game era, games can be bought cheaply, but most of the games ends up collecting dust after one two test play. I'm still awaiting the truly immersive VR gaming (maybe 3/4th generation VR) in the not so far future

Good thing is we can sell it back out after playing so basically it doesn't cost that much after playing where as console is quite troublesome to do so.

And for multi-player at least we can enjoy the game without game hacks which I hate when playing it on a pc

the only cheat i used was to get 255 power apples in Wild Arms hahah. and also in SNES street fighter and dragon ball got some key combination to unlock all the characters hahah.

the worst is blowing and the dust all flyin into your face! dont forget to blow into the console too! wiping the disc just doesnt have the same feeling. hahaha. feel sorry for those who never experienced that haha. i even remember playing games on PC need like 10 floppy disks!!! damn mafan especially if 1 disc missing!!! argghhhh.

got many types (cd, cartridge, memory card, etc.). as it goes across i think all consoles. it allows the user to somewhat hack the game. change lives, difficulty, unlock characters, modes, etc.

8/16 bit era: Super Contra, Super Mario, Double Dragons
PS1: Ridge Racer (R4?), Front Mission (Mech turn based strategy), Metal Gear Solid
PC: Heroes of Might and Magic 1-3, StarCrafts, Warcrafts, Diablo 1.....
Xbox: Project Gotham Racing 2 (the only racing game I have fun using steering wheel)
Xbox 360: Earth Defense Force 2025
PS4: So far Helldivers.....

I can't recall which Ace Combat I truly loved.... subsequent AC series wasn't as good as the earlier ones....

PS1: Wild Arms, FFVII, MGS, Fifa 98 (so gooding)

You're a PS die hard fan!!!! Why never give Xbox a chance???? To me, Xbox controller's trigger is still the best (most precise acceleration and braking), even the placement of the left analog stick is much better.

Our only common favorite is Warcraft 3 and MGS, perhaps bomberman.... Weird that you didn't fall in love with Starcraft since you like Warcraft......
Anyway I no longer play PC games as nowadays I don't even have a PC at home, only an iPad, the Surface tablet is useless piece of crap by Microsoft that has little to none app support If I ever buy a PC again I will try the latest 3D Might and Magic 6/7...... or perhaps the 3D Starcraft....

hahah. nothing against xbox. just been using PSX since it first came out. so just used to it i guess. plus banyak kawan had it and always kaput. so i didnt wanna invest in it. hahah. i never did get used to the controller though. at that time very bulky with the double a batteries. the new xbox looks good though. my bro might get it, then i can test it out. i got no budget for it though. would like to give it a try. but i guess in the end gonna stick with PS, just because biasa already hahah. but yeah, everything rosak in the end...

1. PSX. couldnt read disk, but somehow figured out if i terbalik the psx, it can play... wtf.
2. PS2. couldnt read disk, kena eject masuk eject masuk until it worked. true foreplay...
3. PS3. YLOD. i think because after main, just turn off straight away... but not sure if thats the cause.
4. PSP. no problems. but boring. i just used it to play a few games, but mostly to watch movies bila naik bus to work in beijing.

i didnt like starcraft because i generally dont like futuristic stuff. so warcraft was awesome and yeah C&C Red Alert! modern weapons are as far as i go, once aliens and flying bases, i never got into it. i also dont play PC games, i never bought any new PC. all my offices i worked at give laptop, so i just use that. dont need to waste money to buy my own pc. hahah. most games are cross platform anyways. so no biggie.

Yes, I also got office laptop, I only bring laptop back home during weekend, normal days don't bring back because cumbersome to reconnect cables/power block everyday. Office laptop better don't install private software (including games), worried got virus all our hardwork gone.... Anyway laptop normally don't have powerful graphic card to run any worthy games.... Long live gaming console, let's welcome the next phase: console VR

flight simulator the only game in my laptop , most of the time i will crash to the ground .. im used to console gaming since micro genius era 8-bit , pc gaming is not for me , even there is great games for it

It depends on the types of games for me. Some are really created to be played on console and some are specialised on PC. Usually play on each platform in binges.
