Hi guys.. Usually when you all add new lighting point with switch , do you pull a wire from DB or you just loop the live wire from the nearest switch and pull it back to the plaster ceiling ? Btw any idea what's the market rate for 13amp point from DB ?

One more question if I have one existing light point and I loop it into 4 light points.. Do they charge 3 points or 4 points ?... There will be some location adjustment to the 4 point as the original point is at the centre and I wan the 4 points to be at corners of the room ...

Market rate for 13A plug point from DB is around RM70 ~ 100, depends on how many plug points you want to do (more plug points, cheaper rate).

Looping downlight point (pvc conduit) from existing point= rm35/point

downlight opening done by plaster ceiling contractor, FOC.

normally socket just do extension from current existing point... seldom see ppl pull from db for extra socket because need a lot of work.. imagine they pull 12line for your case.. shakehead.gif

sometimes feel electric work a bit over-priced.

the real one really need is air-cond point/lighting (make more switch option)... socket buy extension ok d... laugh.gif

What is the different between Item No. 1 Lighting with the Item No. 2 Lighting? What does "belakang" means?

Coz most of the lighting points were just looped from existing 1.5mm cable nearby so they are cheaper. The one at the back yard need a new 1.5mm cable straight from junction box thus more expensive.
