i all. i just got myself a yamaha home threater system. the speakers come with white wires hence i am confused with one should be connected to positive and which one should be connected to negative

one of the wire pair has a colour striped line. i read in some websites that the striped colour indicate negative while some other web sites wrote it indicates positive. now i am confused. can anyone here offer any advice?
