30mbps so poor connection? i might reconsider again.
*
i am using 50mbps, for me browsing, donwloading and streaming all no issue...very stable, but for online gaming i am not sure as i didnt play online game.

and i think is also depend on your house connection, if you are using VDSL then its might unstable compare to FTTH.

Don't know what connection is it. when apply vip5 few years back, they come and install the cable and do config.
*
for landed house use FTTH, for high rise building mostly use VDSL, and some use FTTH.

How to check my landed using VDSL or FTTH?
*
For landed house i think is all use FTTH.

FTTH(Fibre To The Home)= full fibre cable connect into your home. use in all landed house and few of the high rise building.

VDSL (Very-high-bit-rate digital subscriber line)= use copper cable(telephone line cable) to connect into your home. use in high rise building.

if u upgrade to the new unifi pro plan, will tm gives a new router?
if not, do u think d-Link wireless router AC1200 (DIR-850L) is good enuf for 100Mbps?
*
I call tm just now....officer said it depend on the router and BTU last time TM gave you, if old model cannot support unifi pro then TM will give you new router and BTU.

you better call them ask tell them your current BTU and router model. they will check for you.

No choice  sad.gif . My brother using Advanced plan and I'm still using VIP20. I start from 512K streamyx for like few years til UniFi come out then subscribe VIP5. Went to VIP20 when Ja-Ja Jumbo promotion comes out til today already 2 years+. So yeah, no choice on landed property because my area here only have TM box on the pole. ranting.gif

Dect phone power died and never bother to ask for replacement and TM router can't remember model but power already died before few months I switch to VIP20, also I never call TM and ask for replacement because I knew replacement also don't have good QoS feature that time so I replace with aftermarket one with "RJ45 for 10/100 BaseT for WAN x 1, RJ45 for 10/100 BaseT for LAN x 4". Guess I need to use new router again provided from TM til it dies again then buy new one.

Now was wondering, I subscribe to VIP5 1 week after release in Klang Valley. I'm still using same BTU until today. Am I eligible to get a BTU also? BTU is Alcatel-Lucent I-240G-P with TM logo on it. I've seen some other country also use it but not TM logo on it.  shocking.gif
*
if u wanna upgrade to 100mb they will check for u whether your btu and router can support. like mine BTU(huawei HG850A) and router and Dlink DIR-615L also come with 10/100 lan port only...they will change for me.

That's probably because you are unaware of the proper sources to download at full speed.. User error.. Logic 404..

Just cuz you can't use a tool doesn't mean others can't.
*
actually its depend on how u use...for my case i use 50mb now, at night my 2 nephews will watch youtube on the their ipads, my sister will streaming movie also, and i will downloading and streaming video also, sometime 50mb also not enough for me.
