QUOTE(magnesium @ Feb 2 2016, 11:38 PM) rotary hammer is not a good option for drilling tiny hole. Better use regular drill, turn off hammer action mode if possibleThis post has been edited by yattnana: Feb 3 2016, 12:08 AM |

Use a self-piloting bit and set to lowest rpm.
And a firm grip helps too. |

Masking tape to mark where you want everything accurately, then start for the smallest bits and then move up to the size you need.
Usually I don't recommend using a pin punch on walls due to the possibility of flaking paint. |

QUOTE(narf03 @ Feb 3 2016, 12:03 AM) you need the hole to be same size or slightly bigger than the "pipe" on the plug, and when hammer it in, loosen the nut, the hole need to be deep enough for the entire "pipe" plus the head of the screw to go in. i am installing these too, i purchased item that come with low quality anchor wall plug, and im changing them to something bigger, more reliable, its not that difficult to put them in. oh btw dont make the hole too big, or the wall plug will be useless. i think u buy pull up bar ,i also , my father use spanar hole as washer to beat the circle foreskin , slowly by slowly. only can go in , i make alot of holes , but failed , i as a beginner of drilling , my father very tarik harga , and like sindir people , finally have to ask him to do , i would have call the welder do if not my house full of pets , 4 hole each side , both side 8 total , my father managed 7 of 8 holes , while i manage none , ask the welder do is more worth , i dont know wasted how many wall plug........................... First you knock down the wall.
Then you hold the bracket mounting. Hold it in position. Once you done that, you ask the Indon to start laying the bricks, apply the cement and wait for it to dry. NOTE: Don't let go of the bracket. Very important. And thennnn, ask him to plaster. Ask him to be careful. Don't plaster over the bracket. Deyyyy... if the hole is big, you start with a smaller drill bit first la... you straight away use the big drill bit confirm you will miss the mark. Sometimes I use up to 3 drill bits to make it precise. |

Drill hole in the wall so hard to do meh?
Anyway the good suggestion is using masking tape. To drill 4 holes for a shelf, start by drilling 1 hole. Position the shelf and screw about 80% of the way. Mark another hole on the masking tape and drill. Insert wallplug and screw. The last 2 holes are easy. No need to mark, just drill away. |

I think it is impossible to make it super accurate unless you drill it through the mounting holes.

QUOTE(billylks @ Feb 3 2016, 01:05 AM) i was thinking bout this too, drill the 1st hole, mount it tight, then from the bracket hole, start drilling, but will damage the drill bit and make even more noise as the bit hit the metal instead of just the wall. |
