i dowan to be president laa... can i just be small potato and join TT sessions..
btw my dealer told me i was the first to collect the car in their showroom.. wheeee.. some observations after an hour's drive and closeup: 1. right front fender not properly installed. got gap vs left front.. will screw the SA on my first service 2. back of the car got rattling... not sure if its because of the road or because i already have stuff in the boot.. investigations will continue. 3. conti MC5 not as quiet as i thought it would be... driving past 90km/h on very rough surfaces is a tad noisier than my previous car (FoFi). michelin PST3 inkambing liao.. who can recommend cheap tyre shop?? 4. cannnot pair bluetooth while car is in motion.. 5. Apple carplay works well.. once setup.. everytime is plug and play.. 6. still trying to figure out if its possible to change my trip computer readout from Km/L to L/km.. any clues? 7. Engine runs freaking hot.. after 30 minutes of driving and open bonnet.. like sauna.. 8. Back side twin exhaust ugly.. to bad kenot mod.. 9. Turbo lag very apparent when going over speed bumps.. owners will know what i mean when they get their cars. to be continued... This post has been edited by pigin: Jun 18 2016, 04:31 PM |

QUOTE(bcw @ Jun 18 2016, 04:40 PM) Thanks bro, I've actually placed order since February. But I opt for white, maybe that's why have to wait a little longer. i buy cheap cheap llumar.. titanium 4-50. had to top up RM700 cuz they gave free tint worth RM1500 . i think would have been cheaper if we did it outside but i didn't wanted to nego on price.. just speed of delivery. But I am surprised, you got silver in such short time. Silver is of the favourites, awesome colour. How much & which specs did you pay for Llumar yeah. & have you considered to go for coating? car coating defly thinking about it. but don't know how much it cost and what is good in the market.. cuz i heard honda paints not that good..any recommendations? not too expensive though if possible. my in law bought a passat 2 weeks ago so his looking around to see if we could get a cheaper price if we did it together. |

QUOTE(Alternation @ Jun 19 2016, 09:27 AM) Dont think its widespread issue. Else it's all over the internet already. president pigin mentioned his engine bay feels hot from normal driving which quite normal during break in period. sorry i do not know how to respond to multiple quotes. Likely in the thai isolated cases, they whack the car during the break in period. president pigin, did SA ask u to bring the car to sc after 1000km? just gonna answer them rite here. for the heat: its NOT like its overheating. just that the engine compartment feels hotter than most cars i've driven. compared it with n/a's, a supercharged old car (dun ask me what car hehe). my in law's vw's (two of them). and even the newer bmws with turbo.. alternation might be right. hope its a break in thing. for the FC: yes mine is a 1.5T.. have to clarify tho i did a couple half trottle accerelations to 130-140ish.. on all runs with eco mode off. i will "try" to drive normally and give another result.. for the service: yes.. was told by SA to bring back at 1000km.. but found a screen on the instrument panel that says "Oil life" and it says 9900KM left.. read the manual and it says that it will calculate when u need servicing.. anyways my SA blur blur one i might post and ask on honda malaysia for assisstance on this one. can anyone tell me how much is the first service goin to cost? website says first service is free but nothing seems to be replaced? can anyone clarify go first service for what?? for the light in compartment. i will check. QUOTE(Alternation @ Jun 19 2016, 12:43 PM) Being the 1st owner here sharing his concern, it ain't trivia. Unless down the years some new owner bringing up the same issue which proves the be irrelevant, that u can consider it as trivial. dear all,On the heat topic, knowing japs being japs they prioritize reliability hence the 1.5t's manifold and engine block is water cooled. Quite puzzling to hear that it's quite hot even if it's still break in period. I've break in plenty of cars in the forms of perodua, proton, vw and so forth but none really differs that much comparing it like-to-like with a broken in engine. Maybe pigin was having cold sweat when he touched the bonnet ... want to clarify that the car is NOT overheating.. its just hotter than usual. totally agree that different engineering can allow products to exhibit differerent behaviour.. much like AMD vs Nvidia (if anyone plays games) old AMDs run hotter than the competition but that doesn't mean its broken.. over here i'm just sharing what you guys might want to know. NOT to start a flame. btw.. can't remember who asked this... the glovebox does not have a light.. (but the centre console where you will eventually place your phone has a tiny LED light when its night time) and its a little hard to close sometimes. hope it can be improved in upcoming batches for new owners. additional findings: 1. the auto lights are very sensitive.still learning on tuning the sensitivity. 2. i managed 10.5 km/l coming to the city today. (econ on) light throttle only. 3. You can remote start AND stop your car using the remote (most will know but its new to me). can't think of anything so far still half asleep.. will post again later (unless you guys don't want me sharing anymore). |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jun 20 2016, 09:27 AM) Like I said earlier, the heat issue is a non issue for the moment. Asking a million times wont provide any solutions. Turbo cars generally give off more heat than a NA engine. That's a fact. U cannot compare the heat discharge between a turbo vs a normal Vios for example. kinda regret mentioning the engine runs hot now...There are more than enough reviews out there on the internet for u to read. And just cuz 100 owners on LYN don't experience an over heating engine over the next 6 months doesn't mean there wont be one in the future. You might be the first to experience it 1 year down the line. So waiting is not a logical move unless u're doing it for financial reasons or to compare other makes. The wait list now is already 3-4 months. I booked a 1.8L for my wife cuz the specs were top class and we don't need 2 turbo's in the family especially since the Honda version is a soft turbo. So I wasn't prepared to spend 14K more. If ure not someone who enjoys a fast drive often enough, I suggest u stick to the 1.8L. btw.. does anyone know if the TC-P has LED for the backlights? i just realised the TC has a bulb... LEDs should be way much cooler. and where can i find aftermarket parts?? i wanna get a boot spoiler.. will it void warranty?? This post has been edited by pigin: Jun 20 2016, 09:56 AM |

QUOTE(GeekinE90 @ Jun 20 2016, 10:41 AM) I have been monitoring Cool Racing Sport from Bangkok who has been shipping to Malaysia and other parts of the world. i like the RS spoiler as well.. either that one or the trunk lip spoiler.. mayb in a couple months after the parts are available in MY.https://www.facebook.com/coolracingsport/ My favorite rear spoiler is the Thai RS Rear Spoiler but no one seems to sell it yet. 2nd choice will be the OEM US spec Civic Touring rear deck lip spoiler. Check out the post from CRS timeline dated May 18. Other bits which is a must for silver and white Civics is the RS black front grill which they ship to MY as well. Install instructions here: http://www.civicx.com/threads/jdm-thailand...l-install.3968/ OoOo 1 more thing.. i want to remove the Vtec turbo badge... Can DIY or not one?
