Went to fill up on petrol..

Kinda disappointed to see the range computer telling me range only 530km.

I tot can run for 700km per tank??

i dowan to be president laa... can i just be small potato and join TT sessions..

btw my dealer told me i was the first to collect the car in their showroom.. wheeee..

some observations after an hour's drive and closeup:

1. right front fender not properly installed. got gap vs left front.. will screw the SA on my first service
2. back of the car got rattling... not sure if its because of the road or because i already have stuff in the boot.. investigations will continue.
3. conti MC5 not as quiet as i thought it would be... driving past 90km/h on very rough surfaces is a tad noisier than my previous car (FoFi). michelin PST3 inkambing liao.. who can recommend cheap tyre shop??
4. cannnot pair bluetooth while car is in motion..
5. Apple carplay works well.. once setup.. everytime is plug and play..
6. still trying to figure out if its possible to change my trip computer readout from Km/L to L/km.. any clues?
7. Engine runs freaking hot.. after 30 minutes of driving and open bonnet.. like sauna..
8. Back side twin exhaust ugly.. to bad kenot mod..
9. Turbo lag very apparent when going over speed bumps.. owners will know what i mean when they get their cars.

seksyen 13 Sumber Auto. on the first week of May. i got it very fast because i didn't have preference for colour. those who wanted white, black prolly will have to wait a little longer cuz demand is high.

SA very naggy but do things fast if you call everyday.. good service la.

i can PM details if you want.

even my tint llumar he purposely called them tint guys to go to the showroom to install.. cuz the car cannot leave the compound.

later i check when its dark..

ehh.. after looking at the back for a bit... a little tempted to get the thailand RS version spoiler..

will it void warranty a if we install?

i buy cheap cheap llumar.. titanium 4-50. had to top up RM700 cuz they gave free tint worth RM1500 . i think would have been cheaper if we did it outside but i didn't wanted to nego on price.. just speed of delivery.

car coating defly thinking about it. but don't know how much it cost and what is good in the market.. cuz i heard honda paints not that good..any recommendations? not too expensive though if possible.

my in law bought a passat 2 weeks ago so his looking around to see if we could get a cheaper price if we did it together.

2 runs.

run with the 6ish figures... 100 city

run with the 12ish figures... 80 highway 20 city

run with the 14ish figures... 90 highway 10 city

mayb too used to dual clutches.. that cvt's power delivery feels so numb... the power is there.. but the kick really tak ada.

sorry i do not know how to respond to multiple quotes.

just gonna answer them rite here.

for the heat:

its NOT like its overheating. just that the engine compartment feels hotter than most cars i've driven.

compared it with n/a's, a supercharged old car (dun ask me what car hehe). my in law's vw's (two of them).

and even the newer bmws with turbo..

alternation might be right. hope its a break in thing.

for the FC:

yes mine is a 1.5T.. have to clarify tho i did a couple half trottle accerelations to 130-140ish.. on all runs with eco mode off. i will "try" to drive normally and give another result..

for the service:
yes.. was told by SA to bring back at 1000km.. but found a screen on the instrument panel that says "Oil life" and it says 9900KM left.. read the manual and it says that it will calculate when u need servicing.. anyways my SA blur blur one i might post and ask on honda malaysia for assisstance on this one.

can anyone tell me how much is the first service goin to cost? website says first service is free but nothing seems to be replaced? can anyone clarify go first service for what??

for the light in compartment. i will check.

dear all,

want to clarify that the car is NOT overheating.. its just hotter than usual.

totally agree that different engineering can allow products to exhibit differerent behaviour..

much like AMD vs Nvidia (if anyone plays games)

old AMDs run hotter than the competition but that doesn't mean its broken..

over here i'm just sharing what you guys might want to know. NOT to start a flame.


btw.. can't remember who asked this... the glovebox does not have a light.. (but the centre console where you will eventually place your phone has a tiny LED light when its night time) and its a little hard to close sometimes. hope it can be improved in upcoming batches for new owners.

additional findings:
1. the auto lights are very sensitive.still learning on tuning the sensitivity.

2. i managed 10.5 km/l coming to the city today. (econ on) light throttle only.

3. You can remote start AND stop your car using the remote (most will know but its new to me).

can't think of anything so far still half asleep.. will post again later (unless you guys don't want me sharing anymore).

kinda regret mentioning the engine runs hot now...

btw.. does anyone know if the TC-P has LED for the backlights?

i just realised the TC has a bulb... LEDs should be way much cooler.

and where can i find aftermarket parts?? i wanna get a boot spoiler.. will it void warranty??

the third brake light yala LED..

i can't be certain because my leg is not long enuf to press the brake pedal and look from the back. =P

haha... kena cucuk by 8th gen already..got some stares.. but i guess silver doesn't stand out as much as white or black.

but so far haven't seen a single one on the road yet.
