Hi all, anyone can clarify about the drawback of having Turbo cars? My cousin just make me wonder as his Toyota Hilux 3.0 get wet (oil leaking) at the surrounding area of Turbo charger after 2 years ++ of using the vehicle. Hopefully, this will not happen to current Honda vehicle that equipped with Turbo's as their main selling point.
Turbo is a wear and tear part after all, couple with the fact that our fuel is not the best (potentially contaminating the engine oil, which in return causes damage to the turbo because the Turbo's cooling depends on that ), most of us skim on engine oil/maintenance, bad driving behavior etc.And yes, the turbo performance starts to suffer as early as 120k, and will need a change early as 200k
