QUOTE(ben3003 @ Feb 3 2016, 09:05 PM) i have a jazz at home, i think it is OK for me, it does feels abit conventional when normal drive abiet when u pedal to metal the car just praaaaang all the way. How much honda sell their type-r 2.0 for malaysia market? For me i dont like tat they put all the tech at the better engine configuration. Not the euro hatchback one which is grey import. I drive lots of manual vehicle, small car, pick up, lorry and this me me hate automatic transmission. The CVT is the worst in term of responsiveness. Even tho I never drive a Honda CVT for prolonged period. Those company Preve and Saga mia rubber band feel, really annoying. |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Feb 4 2016, 09:29 AM) Exchange rates aside, I have no idea why the new Civic should cost over 135k. Since the new engine employs a cheaper single scroll vs a more expensive twin scroll as found in the 308THP, which btw cost just a drop over RM135k but comes fully loaded. We speak of relative price, but maybe in Honda Malaysia's GM perspective, they do so just because THEY CAN. With Honda's economies of scale, they should be able to source and manufacture the parts cheaper than Peugeot can. |

QUOTE(GeekinE90 @ May 16 2016, 10:32 AM) Most manufacturers are going with more radical design language rather than bland as the demand is for exciting designs even for mature buyers (see the latest Mercedes and Lexus designs). First thing first, do you study why Mercedes shifted their design language? What is nice (based on reviews) on the 10th Gen Civic, is Honda not only put innovation in the drive train but the overall car is bigger, more comfortable, quieter, practical, full of tech and efficient. Mazda only focused on the drive and handling, but most reviews criticize the 3 for lack of NVH, comfort and practicality. |

QUOTE(romuluz777 @ May 16 2016, 11:56 AM) Lemme guess....to move from an "uncle" image to a more dynamic and youthful design philosophy to attract the younger crowd ? On the contrary. More youngster is becoming rich, to a point rich enough to afford luxury car. The German giants are accommodating that void in the market. This statement QUOTE Most manufacturers are going with more radical design language rather than bland as the demand is for exciting designs even for mature buyers (see the latest Mercedes and Lexus designs). Is just bullshitting along. More than half of our economy, is drive by young people now days. |

QUOTE(dares @ May 17 2016, 11:27 PM) Talking about price in MYR, why US muncul? Because brain farted. The FB was underwhelming, coupled with the increasing popularity of the kimchi marques and increasingly affordable conti C-segments locally, the FB was not very popular even against the Altis. What I meant to say when it would sell like hotcakes, is that at that price point with those features, it would dominate the C-segment once more like how the new City robbed the Vios of it's throne. Lol What I want to say, is that the sale of FB is not that bad at how you perceive it. |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ May 18 2016, 09:04 AM) Yes. you need to notify them, then they will dispatch a peronda come search for you (if you are immobilized) They will take your info, some pictures of the damaged parts. You will need to fill up some form too. Else, proceed to Operator office, ask for damage claim, fill up the form, allow the officer to take some photo and you wait to get called for the claim |

QUOTE(Area51SE @ May 24 2016, 01:11 AM) I doubt so, Preve 1.6 Turbo CVT sounds very rough, harsh and unrefined while the Civic is expected to be more smooth, quiet and refined based on the CRZ that is using a CVT as well. Both cars has a very big difference. I know because I own both difference in roughly 20hp and Nm. Good comparison |

QUOTE(amduser @ May 24 2016, 02:16 PM) if the paper couldn't even provide a proper fc readings, how do you think it can convince people to get it? if you say >80% of the consumers dont mind about fc then i got nothing to say lor My brother, do you know how auto manufacturer quote the FC reading?driving style or not, fc on the paper should serve as baseline for potential buyers to see the fc of the car, as a rough reference when doing comparison, dont tell me you want them to get the car only to complain the fc? Most cars sold in Europe, will have their FC tested via NEDEC (New European Driving Cycle) as per ECE Regulations 83 and 101 dictates; Other testing method includes Japan -- JC08, USA -- SFTP US06 and many more (to comply with local legal) FYI, NEDEC cycle look like this (NEDEC is one of the MOST UNREALISTIC FC test) - Cold vehicle at 25c - Flat road without the affect of wind - NO a/c, lightings Car start, idle 11s > accelerates to 15 km/h in 4 s > cruises 8s > brakes to a full stop in 5s > accelerates to 32 km/h in 12s > cruises 24s > brakes to a full stop in 11s > accelerates to 50 km/h in 26s > cruises 12s > decelerates to 35 km/h in 8s > cruises 13s > brakes to a full stop in 12s > iddle 7s, switch off. Repeat 4 times. Then another set of the following After 20s of the above test > accelerates to 70 km/h in 41s > cruises 50s > decelerates to 50 km/h in 8s > cruises 69s > accelerates to 70 km/h in 13s > cruises 50 s > accelerates to 100 km/h in 35s > cruises 30s > accelerates to 120 km/h in 20s > cruises 10 > brakes to a full stop in 34s Now go and compare your driving pattern with the above, and come back tell us how it differs. |

QUOTE(celciuz @ May 26 2016, 06:18 PM) Just wondering, is this carbon build up only affecting turbo direct injection engines? Those conventional non turbo won't have this issue? As long as it's a DI petrol engine, it will suffer from a level of carbon build up due to the fact that petrol (and it's additives) didn't come into contact with the valve neck, which means it's not cleaned, hence the carbon build up. |
