You can try Clapton's Layla, Jimi's Little Wing or even BB King's The thrill is gone...

But if i were you, i go straight away to Jimi's Little Wing...

^ Cliffs of dover sounds more pop/rock-ish to me. Manhattan is nice. Very talented guitarist.

Eric Johnson is considered virtuoso already, to start off with blues I suggest you listen to some blues classics likes bbking, chuck berry and eric clapton, at least to get familiarized with the typical 12-bar blues progression and arrangment. I believe there are lots more out there. Jimi Hendrix is not a bad idea either, but it leans more on funk and rock rather than blues.

Try downloading those 12-bar blues progression backing tracks in various keys from the internet to play along as starters.

Most of those blues I suggested are played quite clean anyways, something that you can do with an acoustic also. Just make sure you have strong fingers and good intonation for those bends.

Hmm acoustic blues, definitely can't go wrong with Robert Johnson.

I would also recommend Jimi Hendrix's acoustic version of Hear My Train A Comin'. Class! thumbup.gif It's also worth checking Rory Gallagher, especially his acoustic stuff such as Empire State Express, As The Crow Flies and Unmilitary Two Step. thumbup.gif
