any new GRAB promo code?

i didn't get uber code today, only got notice about combine with grab. bye bye promos

With no competition Grab has no problem retaining the rates cos without promo codes it is already making money. Newcomer without deep pocket will find it difficult to challenge Grab.

The only thing about grab that irks me the most is the min fare of rm5. if I were to book a ride just for 1 km and pay rm5, sakit hati lo..

A lot rider like u did not know Grab actually subsidizing your low fare or driver earn RM4 after travelling 3-4km away and fetch u to 1-2km ride.

If u want to know the cost per km for each driver, it is around RM0.3 per km, how much do they earn from your ride after minus the cost? Let say about RM2.5 to RM3 for 10-15min. If Grab did not subsidize your ride, the possibility of rider getting a ride is very very low.

Instead of complaining, learn to be grateful lah. Grab did not owe u anything, they need to seek profit also. And for those keep complaining promo code, isn't that Grab give u reward for each ride? (5x for cash and 10x for grabpay)

Unless it is a newcomer with driverless vehicle, then it is disruptive again.

But if my place has alot of grab drivers, then it is a different story right ?
I know grab driver allocation is based on the nearest driver available, and drivers are plenty in my area since uber also close down. So for a driver to reach my place is just usually 1-2 min away.
I think maybe Grab should create a dynamic pricing where if a driver need to travel for 3km above, then charging customer RM5 seems logical lo.

Reason why many Uber drivers migrated to Grab before this is because of your 1km distance trip. And for Uber driver, your destination is hidden. They might be cheated by traveling more than 5km to pick you up but ended up only doing a 1km trip costing RM2-3 the most.
Grab minimum fare of RM5 is a good move.

It is not nearest driver anymore, i don't know how they allocate.

Changed the title already. Update if any promo code from Grab or any e-hailing services.
