You should be more specific in stating location from where to where and how much taxi charge and grab charge...don't simply pluck the amount from the sky... generally grab is still much cheaper than taxi (most of the cases)...

you have basically danced around all the very fair questions asking you if you could have got a taxi or not that night. it's not as if there's lesser taxis now with Grab. and even if you could have gotten a taxi.. very curious to know what are the chances they will follow the meter.

This is tremendously excellent idea. Gov can exclude private hailing service from transportation service, thus the GST 6% would step in.

Do drivers care? Nope. Why should they. As the ones that must bear the gov tax are the customers themselves.

When that time comes, easy for companies and drivers because all complains must be directed to SPAD.

suspected new trick by grab, or maybe just a system glitch.

First , i booked a ride home with code <4mph> provided by grab.
i waited for a long time, driver never show up. So i check the app again, it says that the ride has completed and I have paid rm5 , which did not bother me as it led me to an unlocked code <50mph> (rm5 discount)

So i booked a ride again with the code <50mph> (trip was rm9 ,discounted rm5 = rm4 )
,but when i arrived , the final amount shown on driver's phone was rm9 . ironically , driver's phone also showed that i have entered a promo for the ride.

the driver was confused too at the moment and he even apologised to me.

what even

report this to grab. they have a good customer service team

Haha i have also been receiving the promo glitch lately😄😄😅😅but the rider still happily paid the full amount😥😥😂😂
