Happening as I type this right now, NeoGAF imploding and going down in flames right as this post is posted. Every single wrongdoing, sleazy practices including biasness of the moderators and admins exposed right to the very littlest details. "Airing dirty laundry" left and right, and #NeoGAF was trending at Top 10 on Twitter a while ago if your Twitter was set to the US region.

I can see similar traits, although in smaller scales here in this forum as well. EDIT: not specifically this section, but hints of it everywhere else with people drunk with moderating powers. It's the power of the people, you can slap a ban or a warning unjustly, and/or delete or cover it up, but the truth will out someday. And in the case of NeoGAF, imploding in such spectacular way LOL!

The behaviour of the moderation and admin teams, sounds eerily similar.

Basically post only the right things, the right way, don't go against mods who practice their moderating duties in total biasness. Mods, admins are always right. They have the final say, they are Gods.

The term "echochamber" and "hugbox" have been thrown around a lot when describing NeoGAF. Certain sections of LYN also applies to these terms, "echochamber" and "hugbox".

Sounds like certain sections of the forum in LYN.

Those two terms perfectly describes certain forums, Facebook groups and Discord channels, where everything and everyone must agree 100% on how things are run, discuss, talked, mentioned, and no alternative opinions are allowed. Sounds like North Korea to me.

Neogaf is a huge ass gaming forum for more than a decade now. There are game devs or works in that industry that posts there.

I've been an active member there. Community is good for the most part, but since the owner and some of its mods are predators, fuck them.

I'm gonna miss it though, as I go there for gaming and non-gaming stuff.

Aiya ppl there forum can joim other forum quite easy. Here i think we only have lowyat that is laku for non Chinese speaking
