If i took the full day, i would be able to pick her up.
Yup, nursery is nearby nanny house walking distance, about 10 mins walk.
So far i able to find a driver that is not so old, she also fetch her daughter from another nearby nursery as well.
*
wah. walking only 10 mins thats really close haha. for me, if that close, i think using a driver is ok. sounds like wont be going on highway or any big roads so even if something happens wouldnt be so serious i guess. hmm.gif

Finished reading all 51 pages,
Very informative and excellent support group for daddies.

I’m a father of 2 currently, 2 girls aged 7 and 2 respectively.
I will be expecting my third child tomorrow.

Despite the experience of going through 2 labour process, somewhat I still feel nervous.
Well I still have to put up a brave front and show no fear.

thats the life. haha. bruce.gif even when super stressed at work. come home and leave those worries outside if possible.

Interesting, will definitely checkout on this....

Any other big item that we should lookout for?
Thanks to the silent reading habit, i did grab up some info beforehand and we just bought 1 Pack of Small Size Baby Diapers, 6 set of cloths, milk bottle and along some miscellaneous baby related item.  notworthy.gif

We also just started prepping up some essential bag item yesterday.  thumbup.gif
*
my 2 sen.

i didnt use any baby changing table because didnt think it was necessary for us. instead i bought rubber mat thing, then can change on the bed, or on the floor. or on the crib. but if you got extra $$ and space, then of course table is better.

as for crib. i think ikea ones are ok, but only 2 levels. if got budget i recommend getting a 3 level crib. my son still using his crib @5+yo.
top level when they are still newborn, so its easier to see them and pick them up/put them down, can even change diaper. the second level when they can start rolling around a bit and lowest level when they can sit up/stand. then when they are older, can take off one of the sides and can use as normal bed. when you are picking up the kid so many times a day, your backs will be soooo happy with the top level. hehe.

for bottle, i recommend getting glass. but thats just personal preference, i find it cleaner.

other things to prep are:
1. nipple cream for your waifu (if planning to BF, if going for formula, then dont need). please discuss with wife for this, dont pressure her for one way or the other. its definitely not an easy task.
2. if BF, a breast pump. recommend just ask from a friend. no point to buy a new machine. maybe just get new bottles and accessories.
3. swaddles/towels for wrapping or burping, or cleaning up vomit~
4. yuyi oil/minyak telon.
5. wet wipes (the big tube ones are better as easy to take out new wipes when holding the bebeh).
6. bathtub. for shampoos and such, i recommend getting those ones which have pump valve. so one hand can get the shampoo out. easier, unless its always a 2 adult activity.
7. cream for diaper rash. i used sudocrem, but i think so many out there.
8. bebeh nail clippers.
9. belly wrap thingie for their umbilical.
10. mental state - its gonna be crazy. everyones gonna be crazy. lolol. if possible, take as many annual leave as possible to get everything sorted out. get everyone settled in, make sure everything is purchased and comfortable, etc.

for the clothes i think you need more than 6 set. my boy went through like 2-3 sets a day. cause vomit, or pee/poo leak. or drool all over. if daily washing, then its ok. but if not, then i recommend to get a few more. dont need anything fancy, just a plain onesie.

Woah... Thank you so much for sharing these info.  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

Actually we are thinking about the level thingy as well and plan to have extra survey about it on this coming baby fair before actually proceed on it.

About the bottle, we definitely will take glass in the future but we start with PPSU material first considering the weight of it.

My wife intend to start with BF first and see how it goes.

About the cloths, cause we are going into Confinement Center straight after leaving the hospital, so we still have 1 month buffer time there for some minor shopping of necessity  biggrin.gif

While for all other information i will further go through on it with my wife later  thumbsup.gif
*
if looking at PPSU bottles, then maybe can also look into bottle steriliser, i didnt use one because we used glass from the start so just boiled it. i think PPSU can also boil, but not sure its effect in long run.

good luck bro, and get ready for wallet to explode. biggrin.gif

another random tip. research about baby poop; shapes, colours, etc. hahaha its gonna take over your life. hahahaha. its a very good baby health indicator.

Neeed help. My 10 days baby prefer fm than bfeed. How ya? Why i say he prefer fm? Because everytime my wife try to bfeed, he will avoid. When force, he will suck for like 10 second then pull n cry. If use fm, he can drink 1 shot till finish. How ya?
*
Pump and feed breast milk via bottle. Maybe just prefers bottle.

Hey guys,
my daughter is nearly to 2 months old with 5kg weight.
Currently is feeding mix of Bfeed & FM.. with a total of 4.5oz.
Please advice whether is it enough or not..
Additional, my baby keeps crying at night before sleep. Please help :'(
*
any reason why doing the mix of BF & FM? if you ask enough, hard to say. if baby wanna drink can give her. if dont want, then dont need lor. its just a demand thing.

as for the crying, could be a number of things that will drive you crazy LOL. hot, cold, itchy, dont want to sleep, too quiet, too noisy. haha. good luck bro. welcome to fatherhood. bangwall.gif

Hey guys, jsut would like to check, using a washing machine to wash baby cloths will be more effective or handwash??
Effective sense of cleanliness..
*
i think just wash in the washing machine is better. can use the baby detergent ABC or something, forgot. that works well.

Hey guys,
just would like some info, if you feed your newborn.. lets say 3 scoops of milk..
how much water would you put??

I'm currently filling 3oz water, then 3 scoops of milk...
or 4 oz water, then 4 scoops of milk.. .
*
Just follow the instructions on the milk packet. And adjust as necessary according to how much ml you really need. But keep it to the same ratios always.

Guys , my wife’s expecting . Birthday is in about a week. She is into 28weeks of pregnancy and has implied that she wants to sit and rest at home.
Am running out of ideas on what to get her as a gift.
Any suggestions at all? Something that would make her pregnancy more enjoyable maybe.

She’s not the jewellery kinda person
*
can send her to a spa (some can also do house calls).

as i'm a single dad, no wife around to help me with housechores & kids, i'm getting into late 30's
my earning less than 5k, everyday after work rush to tuition centre to fetch kids & reach home around 7.30pm
had to rush them settle everything & sleep by 10pm but most of the time actually get onto bed already 10.30pm
after dinner had to do some housechores & cleaning, also praying
every night sleep after 12.30am after done the laundry, wake up at 6am to rush them to school by 7.10am
monday & friday had to wake up 20 min earlier as they need be at school before 7am
previously i still manage to squeeze bit of time to workout at gym after work, but now had to stop gym as there's literally no free time after work
i hv lost interests in many things, cant find motivation in most things
*
i just wanted to say that it seems you are doing a great job and working hard to ensure your household is running! respect bro.
