Why ? Just go for it. You can use EPF withdrawal for 3% sales charge.
Currently, Affinbank do promotion for ASNB Variable Price Fund. We can give special rate on it.
1k - 49k = Sales charge 3%
50k - 99k = Sales charge 2.5%
100k and above = sales charge 2%

Normal charge 5% - Special rate 3% = 2% Rebate to your saving account.

What is your opinion of their fixed priced?

And is it really good time for attacking the variable priced now? Because I just pull out from vp to fp...

Btw is good to have you here..

Thank you for your support.  blush.gif
In my opinion, better go for ASNB vp. You can get more return than fp. ASB give 7.25% dividend but ASN or ASG can give more than 8% return for one year plus high distribution around 6-8%.
According to FIMM, 2016 is a good time to invest in Unit Trust.
The current low market valuation represents a good time for public investors to invest in unit trust funds as they will be able to reap a higher investment value in the long term.
This would be the right time for investors to accumulate more investments into unit trust for the long term as they will be able to gain benefits when the market starts to pick up.
The average returns of unit trust can actually surpass the inflation rate. An average return is about 8% for equity compared to the inflation rate of between 3% and 4%.
It will eventually give them some returns in addition to the inflation rate so that they will see more value for their investments in the future.

Read this article  http://themalaysianreserve.com/new/story/n...trust-says-fimm

Personally, for customers who are rather conservative, investment into ASNB funds could be a better choice. simple Reason; PNB's main objective is to help the nation to create wealth. That is  the reason why the distribution (most of the time we refer as Dividend) declaration is around 6% - 8%, regardless of the market scenario. ASNB will never be the best fund management company but they are very consistent in declaring distribution.
That all from me.
*
Not 8%, can be as high as 15%. I calculated. And what change my mind to choose ASM over ASG is that the 15%pa drop to 3%pa in just a year.... haven't take into account that the NAV do actually decrease when the income distributed. I wonder when the NAV will raise when the KLCI diarrhoea like no tomorrow?
Is the KLSE seen its bottom yet? I doubt.

I am really like upon ASG if not I will not hold it till 1650pts... but when you realize the chances of invest into ASM is present... The temptation. The fixed price of 1.00MYR , the peace of mind.... compared to close monitoring as you said, I choose ASM.

No doubt that market will recover. But the problem is when.... and will it drop further?

Not forget to mention, the total income of ASG is actually negative for last year.

Btw, managed to open  AS1M last month 15th Jan, at ASNB Office, Sabah,
And managed to top up ( online) RM190K, didn't hit my target  cry.gif

Just keep trying with Octopus bank, mostly success with RM10K each time,
but rejected lots of time too  doh.gif,  + charges of RM1-06 each transaction.

I tried once - online top up with Tiger bank, " Remark - SUCCESSFUL " ,
thought successful top up,  but after 4th day,  RM$ credited back into my acc.
call up bank,  was informed SUCCESSFUL means  debited fr account but not ok yet with AS1M !!

and the officer " you kena update passbook to confirm top up AS1M Passbook,
then baru tahu success or not. Really hate that tiger bank  vmad.gif

Least Octopus bank, got status APPROVAL or REJECTED the next business day.

Sorry, if my above msg is old news to all.

Happy chinese new year to all

Not sure if this has been asked before..can we deposit $ for someone else without the passbook? I want to top up for my mother but she is in different State and it's not convenient for her to go bank always.

Can. You just fill up the form. The purple form. Additional units. But you need to know the acc num name la. And its the new book. Not the old because the old cant be use already.

ASM most likely 6.40sen  sweat.gif  following their others "siblings"  tongue.gif  blush.gif

The 6.4 not important.

The only way we can trace their performance overall is the total return. And ofc how much they ear and lost.

Like in AS1M, no need mention la. But I think one of the main reason is that massive withdrawal

can u further explain and share what happen on AS1M? massive withdrawal?
*
Don't get me wrong. What I mean the massive withdrawal here is that the unit holder withdraw alot in the specific months due to lack of confidence (maybe).

But, but, the 'hole' created by them quick enough to be filled up by the opportunist like most of us here. If not we weren't know they are really lot of units left for us to buy.
