well the list is for those failed so many times trying luck to open new account at their regular place / branch. It give some new option to them to try out. there's some chance they might get lucky. that's all.

Amanah Saham Bumiputera 2 (ASB 2) dividend - 7.05 sen

Pengerusi PNB, Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid, berkata pengagihan pendapatan tahun ini membabitkan peruntukan sebanyak RM213.07 juta, peningkatan sebanyak 131.6 peratus berbanding RM92 juta yang diperuntukkan tahun lalu.

"Peruntukan ini juga akan dimanfaatkan oleh 159,480 pemegang unit yang melanggan 4.40 bilion unit ASB2," katanya ketika mengumumkan pengagihan pendapatan ASB2 di Kuala Lumpur, pagi ini.

- The mixed asset income fund recorded a gross income of RM228.72 million, an increase from its first gross profit of RM130.6 million posted last year.

- Income from sales of shares contributed RM101.81 million (44.5%), while dividend income from investment in companies contributed RM87.97 million (38.5%) and other income including sukuk and fixed deposits contributed RM38.94 million (17%).

- Unitholders' investments in ASB2 this year have doubled from RM2.175 billion in 2015 to over RM4.4 billion this year.

- The number of unitholders has increased from 103,546 last year to 159,480, with 25.4% of subscribers aged 19 to 34 years and 44% aged 34 to 54 years.

- ASB2 capable of distributing 8 sen per unit

good question, but too bad I got no clear answer for it.

what I know, is the funds meant for bumi needed to give more dividend compare with "malaysian" open funds.

most of us always forget the main purpose PNB is set-up in the first place.

it's purpose it to increase bumiputra equity participation & create some wealth for them.

but somehow half way, they open up some funds for others malaysian to buy. that's why asw2020 have 51/49 quota (under Tun M administration). later it's change to free to all (asm) and back to racial quota under Jibby administration (as1m)

yes, we must not too depend on pnb. the needed to diversify.

for those earn juz enuf to cover their monthly expenses & have very little savings, then pnb funds is the way to go.
for myr 500 or less, u wanna invest in sreit better invest in PNB or FSM too if really want foreign exposure

hope ASB have bonus tis year. if not many would be

true. FSM do give higher return, but same time can give u huge losses too

so here & there to balance it up our portfolio, so that we don't get some heart attack when market crashes

and I do see now there's lack of unit availability. people now realized that ASx fund is the best place to park their money. previously last year or before. there's a lot of units available, but not enuf money to buy up all. Now got some money, but no units available

last time? last year? if last year. there's a lot unit available. there's so much units available until most of us went broke / no money to top-up
