QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Apr 6 2016, 11:57 PM) It comes mainly from these thoughts. It's a coping thing. Otherwise, it'll become a 'why didn't God do this if He's good' kind of thinking.I prayed for Healing but God doesn't heal, so it must be his will for the person to be sick, etc or I prayed for Protection but God did not protect, so it must be his will for the person to be in tragedy. But if we know the word of God....This is far from who God is. How do we consolidate this bitterness with the Bible? It's something I struggle with too, but I don't know where to look. |

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Apr 8 2016, 10:40 PM) It was a dress with cleavage. Nothing wrong with that If Guys know how to turn away, instead of staring like a lunatic but I told her to remove for the sake of weaker Christians. Oh that's not nice.Tq, this just solidifies what I suspected. Because when I click that link now, it's a imgur link to a cathedral. Dunno which one, but looks relly nice. |

I really wonder what's like to witness that scene in real life. The sheer number of amazement and confusion coming from the people's face.

QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Apr 12 2016, 05:03 PM) Home of course. Save money, and nothing beats home. It's more or less ready to be published now. I'm doing this alone. Waited 1-2 years for help but the help tak jadi Timing it to the end of another free work so I can reach it out to people. The script itself was finished waaaaaaay back in 2011-2012. Took like half a year for the first draft. Then editing, polish, additional scenes, more polish ect ...... Okay I messed up my timeline. It cannot be earlier than 2010 because I haven't started writing until that year. OOPS okay update since 2010-2011. Now the whole thing was finished in 2013 then I run into publishing and illustration problems. Malaysia don't have a tax treaty, which means I'll get taxed twice. Not only that, our banks are not recognized at all what the meow. So for years dumb logistics prevented me from releasing. This post has been edited by Sophiera: Apr 12 2016, 05:20 PM |

QUOTE(De_Luffy @ Apr 12 2016, 05:37 PM) At it's base, just an Amazon kindle account and your manuscript. Cover and stuff included of course. But I tried to find illustrations and an American address. My friend had a company, and I thought that I can ask him to be my distributor. Well that didn't work out in the end because.... reasons. In the end I'm back to square one. Because Malaysian banks are not recognized, the only way they can send money is via snail mail cheque. Sigh. Why the heck our banks not recognized I also dunno. The list countries of recognized banks prtty limited. I don't see Thailand or Singapore either. Doesn't look like the entire SEA region included. |

It's all about being respectful to other people...
Take two to clap hands la. It's not fair to say all of us are trying to be a taliban when we're trying to advice on how to be more respectful. respect others=less drama=everyone happy. Edit: For example, if you want to visit my house you must remove your shoes. I have reasons to keep shoes out of my house. Easier to clean, don't want random muck from outside come inside, things like that. Even more important around my area because it's trash everywhere. If you insist on walking into my house with shoes on because that's what you do at your home, I will be very, very, very, very not happy. It's disrespecting my house rules, make me feel really uncomfortable, and I will have to put extra effort in mopping the floor later. It's the same with going to church. It's not your house, it's God's house. There will be people there. I'm not talking about the prudes who get flustered at an exposed piano leg. This is basic common sense with basic house rules. Like removing shoes before entering a room or a home who prefers shoes off. What are the basic house rules for going to church? Dress moderately. What is moderate? Depends on region to region. In the past, women of that region must wear headscarves. Now we don't need to wear headscarves, but we're expected to not be too fancy. This post has been edited by Sophiera: Apr 16 2016, 09:29 PM |

QUOTE(Blindspot61 @ Apr 16 2016, 09:42 PM) I didn't see her photo but i gathered from what she said and from those Oktoberfest festival costume, what's the big deal? Is not that its posted in such a seductive manner. If she did that, then, its a different story altogether. If that will also arouse you, you are just too weak spiritually. And if 'THAT's' the 1st thing came to your mind when you see something like this, you have to start questioning your 'mind' about how you view a woman. I can see she is a devoted christian and I am sure she knows what she is doing and having said that, whatever she do is between her and God. (And we are complaining about other religion imposing their will on others, sigh! |

QUOTE(Blindspot61 @ Apr 16 2016, 09:57 PM) ./reads againOops sorry I misread it. I thought you're talking about UW. Bluh. The eye fatigue. Well, it's more about the response to criticism than the criticism itself. It started out as a joke which got out of hand. And that's not nice. We can all agree that the resulting events made everyone not quite happy. |

QUOTE(tinarhian @ Apr 17 2016, 09:59 PM) I have families and friends working in publishing companies and top banks in USA. thanks for the offer but now I prefer to self-publish. Mainly because I could manage my own schedule better. They are always on a lookout for new talents to work with. About banks. Uh. How do I even withdraw money from an american bank? @_@ This post has been edited by Sophiera: Apr 17 2016, 10:57 PM |
