Depends on your budget, but normal beginner's choice for PG is Strike or Astray Red Frame.

Of course, if you want the latest PG kit with all the new features and tech used to create it, the Unicorn/Banshee is the answer.

Usually Time Machine keeps some stocks. But for me I prefer to use Krylon Matte Finish, the finishing is very similar to hobby topcoat, but much more economical.
And so Strike Rouge is also more expensive than Strike. It all backs to how much you're willing to spend, but you can't go wrong with ARF or Strike (and Rouge).

depends on what you are looking for.. the strike/strike rouge hv the best articulation.. red astray shares the same inner frame... but not as poseable as strike..
but astray and strike freedom is great piece as display.. meaning it looks impressive than the strike

water slide is consider easy for me as it's more forgiving than dry decal (sometime the border will hinder my positioning and also the scratching part can be tedious)or even stickers, just need to be gentle not to tear it while positioning it into place

RG tone separation seems to be lacking in most of their recent release
RG Wing tone separation doesn't seem impressive or even noticeable unless you view it at a certain angle

Probably a more subtle off-white like the one found in ARF and Wing Zero.

The purpose of gundam marker is for touch-up painting for small details like eyes, thrusters and such.

Painting whole thing is a bad idea, as you will mess it up, alcohol based paint is bad for big area. Not to mention the marker itself is not cheap.
I suggest get hobby brand bottle paint and do hand painting with it.

If want to paint the gold, get those spray can from hardware shop, Bosny copper gold I bought has very good color. Way better than crappy gundam marker gold(it will be turn to bronze color in couple of months)

That Unicorn clear red look good if use clear red from Gaianotes, Mr.Hobby or Tamiya but gundam marker do it well too. Just dont shake the pen to keep the transparency
