Hi guys, i got a bit of concern regarding the temperature of my GPU. Spec as shown at my signature.

-No WC on the GPU, idling at 46 deg with 3000RPM fan speed (need to do custom profile as the auto fan setting show 50++ on idle.

-Played CSGO for a while, the temp shoot 90+ deg with 90+% fan speed during gameplay. same goes to other games played (Project Cars, Dota 2, FC4 etc)

-Thermal paste changed regularly using MX-4, cleaned the GPU a few weeks ago.

Mind to ask some suggestions/modifications required to lower the load temp during gameplay. Since i a bit worry with the temp.

Thanks

For GTX 670, it have tensioner bracket like below. If it's assemble upside down, there is no pressure of heatsink to GPU die.

Not sure for your GPU, have you properly check your heatsink installation after reapply the thermal paste?

oh that bracket.. my card doesnt have that one... the layout of the heatsink is similar like this... and at the back it uses spring screws with no bracket due to the presence of the backplate..

but i'll try to look in detail later on.. my final year is keeping me away from this and the my noob WC tubing requires me to drain the loop first in order to take out the GPU... Silly me... doh.gif doh.gif

UPDATE:

Finally i take my time to remove the GPU, did extensive cleaning, replacing thermal paste etc2....

Temperature reduced significantly..

Idle at 43 deg, load at 72 deg...

Not sure whether it's related to the tightness of the block to the gpu chip or the thermal paste itself... but it's kind of relieve...
