My e4300 stays at 46-49c idle (only clocked at 2.7GHz+), and goes max at around 54c when gaming and around 70c during ORTHOS, using Coolermaster Centurion 531 with 120mm intake and exhaust though. My friend's unit is idle at 40c, however. Wonder what's happening... I have ordered an AC Freezer 7, hopefully able to bring down the temp a little bit... hmm.gif

Yup, stock HSF. At this hour, 01:30, the reading is at 47c...maybe will try to mod the AC Freezer fan once I receive the unit...a bigger fan + an air duct, maybe, and forget about the fan noise issue 1st. rolleyes.gif hmm.gif

Attached are my CPU temp reading, E4300 running on Abit AW9D mobo, cool by AC Freezer 7 Pro. CPU temp reading remains the same after replaced stock HSF with AC, except 7-8c rise on PWM1 and 5c rise in PWM3... doh.gif

PC case cooling still reamin the same as before, 2 x 120mm intake and 1 x 120mm exhaust.

Core Temp and SpeedFan, I guess Core Temp gives the more accurate reading?

QUOTE(AceCombat @ May 14 2007, 05:53 PM)
yup,core temp is more accurated,and one thing,how u put ur hsf?the direction i mean.

*975 chipset running hotter than 965.

AC fan is blowing to back side (exhaust). By the way, replaced an intake fan with a higher flow unit this afternoon, and CPU temp drops around 2c, PWM1 drops around 4c, and around 3c cooler on PWM3. nod.gif

I went to a local shop to have a look at some fans couple days ago, and I noticed that while the CM Blademaster has higher air flow than the Arctic F12, it has higher noise level too. So, I think if you don't mind the noise, then the Blademaster is the choice. smile.gif

Normally they have the air flow stated on the fan box. For eg, Blademaster 120 is rated at 76.8CFM max, and Arctic F12 is at 57CFM. smile.gif

I believe the room/ambient temp plays a big part of it. My 2600K on water was running at max 85c previously at 1.42v while doing Prime95. While I don't know my room temp, but the water temp on the res shows around 34c when idle, and around 38-40c during Prime95. Turned on the air-cond to 27c, and the temp dropped to around 77-79c. Cheers! smile.gif
