As said qr profit remain but not cash flow.
Loan moratorium is merely delay the inevitable. You aren't see nothing yet.

the moratorium has its bad side too.

with cash flow cut off, the weaker banks will find it very hard to restructure, make adaptive changes.

with imminent NPL rise, they likely will get stricter, lend less... this can spiral into a very tight situation.

better this moratorium does not get extended.

no la... more like weak stock price, cost cutting... then bank mergers, bailouts.

we have seen all these, have we not?

Many industries will be affected. Bank is one of it.

If bank does show weakness, our government will be the first to provide confidence. If there is a bank run happening, everything will collasped including performing counters in bursa. That is why when the march sell off, the first line they make sure hold is financial sectors.

However going by fundamental analysis, there is really nothing much to buy now. There might be a great unwind like the great expansion we see after the march selldown as country try to control their deficits.

I think for the first time my portfolio has more cash than equities. Not sure what to do atm. Shall just wait till next year June.
