Oh wait... they will make this a VS Mat Pendek once again.....  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
Last time, when that 29th Jan episode happened... TG earnings was still growing.
Now? It has slumped some 30%.

And we have seen the selling glove prices slump even more since end April.. and the impact of those declining selling prices will only be reflected next quarter...
which means.... it is highly likely companies like TG, will see bigger decline in profits next quarter...... wink.gif

not quite the same bet....
*
Profit still fat... What's more concerning is orders cancellations. TG profit margin still ok... 50% but sales reduced to 4b.

I'm looking at homeritz. it's sitting in my portfolio at a positive gain

Cash per share is more than 20 sen with no debt.
Yet issues out so many warrant to raise capex.
What is their intention?

Should this raise concern for existing shareholder? their warrant B is in the money and dilution of shares will be expected, at the same time, the cash balance in bank will also increases if warrant holder choose to exercise their warrant
*
Warrants B converted a lot liao lor... I'm still holding but losing a bit since didn't take profit and average up. Expecting next quarter result to worsen a bit sue to covid breakout at their factories in March. Sold the warrant B earlier since I'm expecting result to be slightly affected in the next 2 quarter.

Yes and no. Pandemic still created supply disruptions but definitely not a real shortage.

really? my phone only allows remember username but not password. maybe unker already

You're not wrong. Where got save password for banking and investment app one unless you're using 3rd party app. Samsung phone can utilize Samsung Pass for example.

The only fast access with hlebroking is fingerprint or biometric. Not sure if available in iPhone or iPad with 3d facial recognition. For Android devices, you can use fingerprint for fast access but still need to enter password when want to execute orders.

QUOTE(icemanfx @ Aug 3 2021, 09:40 PM)
Many said harta production line is better and more efficient, is the glove share to keep.
*
True... Hartalega production per lines is miles ahead of the rest especially when some of the 'rest' are still using ancient lines. Those newer design used for nitrile gloves are between 40-45k per hours. While I'm not sure whether it was due to the different process to cure between natural latex glove vs nitrile glove, the number I heard from other manufacturers are between 20~35k (35K is the number I got from a client who installed a new design at Adventa before it was sold to TG. I did however doubt his claims but nevertheless included them since it is for reference only. ), depending on their design I guess. Just for reference, AT went into gloves and posted some numbers up. Their machine barely reach 20k for both nitrile and natural latex gloves.

Another thing to note is upkeeping/downtime/maintenance. Hartalega used carbon steel plate for their gears which is more durable than mild steel plate that the rest used. Those that I supplied for plant 5 back in 2008 still working today. The design used by Hartalega is more flexible as they do not need to replace the gears when the bushing is worned out.

Still, is Hartalega worth keeping? Personally I would say no, but if their share price would keep appreciating, well, it would proved me wrong. The dividend is getting really low (forget about pandemic figures, it will normalize soon) for what you are paying for. Although they could still expand, it wont be as spectacular since they had gotten so big. If one would target growth, wouldnt it be better to look at smaller player like Careplus, Rubberrex etc because these are now flushed with plenty of cash, and they could expand 2-3x capacity in the next 5 years. The question remained is how much gloves do the world actually needs? Before pandemic, there's surplus capacity. Now all of them are going to expand, but is there a guarantee that there would be enough demand in near future? Not to mention China is going into gloves big time.

I am not expert, but personally think that the extra ordinary pandemic induced demand is hard to last forever.
There will be one day that people become less fear towards covid, and treat it as endemic like flu.
Look at Euro football recently, even mask is off for many there.
Even stock market doesn't care about covid number there, up like nothing happens.
*
I dont really care what you think if you cant provide a proof for your numbers. What I know is that ASP is falling which means demand is falling as well. Glove is still a necessity but how much do they really need is a big question mark.

There are a lot of signs that point to glove is no longer in shortage. Even glovemakers are forced to close during that 2weeks EMCO. Funny that some manufacturing are allowed to operate during EMCO when glovemakers also had to close.

i like it, i have confidence - bought more yesterday, follow EPF... others can dump. tongue.gif

another thing... notice shortie has stopped hammering TG but buying back quite a bit; kept hammering supermax - now the most shorted one at 2.4%.
with the shitty politics, even if u make 10bil in a qtr, nobody wants.

the choice now is either to be patient and collect the good profits one or keep in FD.

unless one has decided malusia is already a failed state, bursa will bounce back when a better gomen gets to work, FF now almost zero... will return.
*
Do you still keep your RM9.xx Hartalega?

What is rps?
*
Rights Preferred Share... aka RPS

Insas play for the past 6 years has been RPS (4% interest) + free warrant. Boss will then slowly goreng warrant, unload then shares will drop again. Warrants will expired without anyone converting since not worth.

i'm just showing an example of a undervalued share that stays undervalue for a very loooooooong time
*
Been holding since 2015... dont really care... no debt...
Get some dividend from shares + rps... another few hundreds from selling free warrants.

It is a slow cow milking process since they are slowly disposing Inari to finance all these activities.

I bought 94c, sell 1.18... later buy back at 1.21, and keep until now....

after reading the article below, really pitty glove shares and malaysia tech shares are really overrated

https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...or-victim-of-it
*
I think gloves wise, Malaysia controlled over 50% of the global market thus there's will be some premium locked in for the achievement.

Tech wise is harder to understand. Yes, semiconductor is really on a high right now but what Malaysia players have been doing are mostly low margins section of it. Although there's huge potential to grow, just the EPS alone left a lot to be desired for the PER they command. Not to mention there's a lot of competitions overseas for these low margins section. Personally I think semiconductor will normalise soon and maybe then we will see an increase in competitions for these low margins section which will be interesting going forward.

You tell that to those who invested in Inari and vitrox 8 years ago. They will laugh at your statement

They are also trading more than 30X PE. What had they become?
*
Inari is still ok .. I don't think u need to look at 8 years. Still remembered I bought Insas in 2015 because they owned 30+% of Inari which is worth more than Insas market cap. Inari at RM1.80 then fly to RM3.xx. Inari had some BI since but nothing spectacular.

Around the same time, my brothers BIL who was a stock analyst recommended Vitrox around RM2. I took a peek into the financial but never tempted to buy. The rest is history. Even the BIL who wrote the stock recommendation never bought.

I think these company will grow but even at potential 2x or 3x current profits, I think I will still pass. Low margins stuffs really.
