QUOTE(AthrunIJ @ May 11 2022, 10:16 AM) Waiting for next dividend announcement then sell when it is up, up and away. With the convenience of FSMone, Yes, i would think so tooThen buy DBS in Singapore. Moving away from local burse. Maybank price is quite closely proportional to crude oil price, which is.... quite high and high possibility to go down |

Those who fly frequent domestically, MAS is definitely worse than AirAsia, At least for the past 1 year. AirAsia always re-schedule? Try MAS. i wonder why nobody is complaining about MAS
I am not saying AirAsia is better than MAS. Both are BAD but MAS is shittier than AirAsia. Do we have choices? MAS re-schedule my wife flight 4 times last year alone in 2021 AirAsia just re-schedule my flight 2 hours later tonight. Should i re-schedule my flight? i check, nope. Using MAS? Pay TRIPLE Consumer rights? boon3 , Got any in Malaysia? maybe Maxis, They refunded me RM30 when i complained to SKMM/MCMC for 5 freaking months on the spam SMS that cost me RM2 per message. This just show how BAD is Malaysia right now. This post has been edited by thkent91: May 13 2022, 10:23 AM |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ May 18 2022, 10:49 AM) Up a little you want to whistle whistle... adoi.. Malaysia tech index formed double bottom. Good to have a look?Look at the implication of the bigger picture, esp the last year...and then put in the context of the huge local tech run.... Need Elon to send that nice emoji to Qes as well...? |

QUOTE(ChAOoz @ May 19 2022, 10:09 AM) I dont feel so bad for my china conviction anymore, in relative term even nasdaq and heck bursa growth stock also discounted to same level as them now. Consumer tech and industrial tech is different and separate sector IMO. So my initial view that global exchina growth name is overvalued is true in a sense. But wont encourage people to buy China tech now, its a blackhole and super high political risk that is just not worth it at current environment. I'm positive on industrial side. But need to wait for the bear market to pass first. |

QUOTE(ChAOoz @ May 19 2022, 10:50 AM) Consumerism drive industrialism. This is what China trying to do. Right? An example is whatsapp usage increase so facebook buy more computing power and intel supply the servers and intel need to find asml buy more semicon machine and asml find local fabricator to build their machine. Its a loop that starts with the consumer. When consumerism slow down, all slow down. Unless government intervene with fiscal policy. Based on my observations only. I could be wrong |

QUOTE(Cubalagi @ May 23 2022, 03:52 PM) Entry are most important for both. Can't buta buta buy at whatever price. But Maybank will be more forgiving stock if wrong. QUOTE(Boon3 @ May 23 2022, 04:04 PM) OF COURSE!! That's without saying. Agree Maybank is a more forgiving stock. Buying Maybank at peak, after factor in dividend payout, will be sitting at greenI had proven that last time, if you had bought Mayban at the peak prices and held the stock till now (if not mistaken, a holding period of 8 years?), one would have been sitting on losses despite collecting all the many, many, many dividends. But then.... somehow... such topic too sensitive for many. Like the saying goes... in the stock market, many only want to see what they want to see.... even average down or whatever fancy name, such as DCA or what not... many still will NOT accept that's a really foolish thing to do. They won't accept the wisdom of when in a hole, best is to stop digging. or like stocks like that one... cooking the books... but somehow... ppl still want to bet on it... then they complain that the bloody stock exchange is hopeless...nothing but shoplot stock exchange... |

QUOTE(george_dave91 @ May 24 2022, 12:55 AM) So guys just a hypothetical question; My opinion, if you were to die die pick a stock. My vote goes to United Plantation. Dividends are far more superior than maybank, top notch management (Some may argue wth they are doing with forward contract selling) eager to increase production efficiency and reputable company that many MNCs like to deal with.If someone gave you RM1K and you could only invest it in stocks (bursa). How many companies would you buy? If just one, which company(ies) or what type of stock(s)? Assume all your other personal finance priorities are sorted and this money is simply extra. Personally I would probably get just one stock. Maybe Maybank. Mainly cz the drip would help you grow your stake in there too while avoiding trading fees. What would you guys do? Just a hypothetical scenario. It's trading at RM14. so you need to top up rm460 to buy it. And to repeat. It's only my own analysis. Anyone can share their opinion too. And today best company may not be best for tomorrow. Do your own due diligent! This post has been edited by thkent91: May 24 2022, 08:50 AM george_dave91 liked this post

QUOTE(billy_overheat @ May 20 2022, 01:30 PM) There are a lot more but it's in a choppy market. Up one day few days down. It doesn't hurt to wait till sentiment turns. There’s a webinar on QES presentation and Q&A hosted by Bursa just now. The CEO did gave a optimistic outlook on their business and expansion plan. Qes seems leading in price but biz wise, it's not that impressive. They boasted about getting into manufacturing and now it's slowing down. Some fans even cheered for it to be the next vitrox. Chart wise probably just following the US nasdaq index. |
