I drink a lot of coconut water but there's no way in hell, I am investing in coconuts.

Invest in what you consume is nonsensical investing teaching.  whistling.gif

Some coconut companies are cash cow

Like United Plantation

Ok.. Maybe only 10% of their revenue is coconut

They were meant to be opened for 24/7

Unless some of them are inside a mall

Basically it's a new stand. How to open 24/7?

Their best stalls are those by the train stops. That's where a lot of loose change spending....

Oh. Sorry. Long time no use LRT. Not familiar with their expansion plan

QUOTE(janejane82 @ Mar 25 2022, 05:46 PM)
This is interesting.
Apparently MACC has detained the former and present directors of Pestech subsidiary - CRSE Sdn Bhd for soliciting and accepting bribes in relation to a RM693million MRT 2 contract for Power Supply and Distribution System package.
I would not do anything until MACC clears the directors. Imagine if MACC finds corruption charges then starts looking into their other contracts.

I'm curious, how do you know it's Pestech?

Guys, why do (most) companies rather do share buybacks than to pair down their debts or borrowings?

And I seldom notice companies sell their treasuries shares out

The easy way out is just give 50% off once concession ends. There is no Win-Win Situation. What benefit for motorist who uses those highway. Pretty unfair

Ps: AirAsia Superpass still available. Tempting to get one

Half agree. tongue.gif

Yes, I agree the part that AG should not have stepped in... but having said that, sad to say but a 3m fine each (although certainly not fitting) is probably the biggest win for SC  and Bursa.
Look at the past cases... Transmile, Axis, London Biscuit, Xing Quan (that fine imposed on the audit firms... ptui!), Megan Media etc etc....  dry.gif  dry.gif
The part I don't agree.... staying away from Malaysia market. Well, fraud cases occurs worldwide. It happens.

So if one stays away from Bursa, it doesn't help if one isn't prudent.  US markets no fraud? UK Markets no fraud? China markets no fraud? Fraud is everywhere. It's human nature.

Back to Serba case, wasn't it not an easy spot that it was NOT an investment grade stock? The rising receivables, the depleting cash, the raising loans... it's all there.

That's the past.

Current?

Well, it has been discussed. That current so called tech stock. 9 months in venturing into TECH... big profits... but 9 months no signs of any collection of sales. Now is this or is this NOT a big red flag? Now if one is greedy and blindly invest in this stock, well? Who's to blame? Can we blame the market for no protection?

For me, stock markets, anywhere in the world, the risk of fraudulent accounts is always there. One needs to be prudent ownself and cannot expect the market enforcers to protect them.

Well, Genetec, QL, and even Yinson has it, but they do bring multi bagger to shareholders

I'm not saying we should buy those, but the profit from trading these shares is real. Even Inari has this problem in the early years but look how it has grown up to be a blue chip

TLDR Version, a risk must be made when selecting a multi bagger stocks I think. And I'm trying to learn how to spot these

Investing - average down during crisis, never cut loss by looking at chart, only take profit when necessary eg: buying house, cars, education.. etc etc

Trading - never average down, cut loss by looking at chart, take profit when greed level is high

??

Will MrDIY be the sick man of KLCI?

Foot step for the store is getting lesser and lesser based on my observation.

Used to see people lining up but nowadays, pass by counter hardly see customer paying for the items

Hi I’m looking to invest through IBKR for ETFs.

I plan to put 10k into ETF solely.
Do I all in to CSPX? 50/50 it with CSPX + VWRA?

Or is there another combination.

And if I were to DCA after the initial 10k, what’s a good amount monthly?

New to investing please guide / advise.
TIA
*
DCA is okay, if you are 100% sure you do not have any cash flow issues for the next 20 years

Else, what happens when funds are at bottom low, and you are jobless at the same time requires money to pay mortgage or feeding your family?

Tenaga is on a downtrend

Yet to check of it's cashflow, But if falls to rm6 region, it's a good grab right?

Will they still be giving a special dividend like they did on previous years? If yes, it could be a strong support

Nobody want to discuss about palm oil shares?

JP Morgan's Target price of KLK is 30. Quite on the dot I would say.

Meanwhile United Plantation going all time high. QR should be released today

Putting share aside

For B40 people like me, seeing MAS ticket cost RM1000, and AA cost RM500.

No brainier choice right?

And many still wondering why AA cannot die
