During these few months of trading (since MCO started), honestly my success rate in picking stocks (apart from glove stocks) is only about 40% to 50%. But yet, my portfolio or profit is still green. There are 2 possible reasons:

1.  Dumb luck (tikam skill). This is very likely! or

2.  Because I let my profit run for the winning stocks and cut my losses early for my losing stocks.

I will also top up heavily for my stocks which are on an uptrend. Hit the winning stocks with a hammer they say. So, in this way, I may select 4 losing stocks and 1 winning stocks. But, I will still end up with a healthy profit.

There is no one right approach I guess. As Deng Xiaoping famously said "It doesn't matter whether a cat is black or white, as long as it catches mice."

P/S:  Now I am using a giant hammer on SamChem. Win big or go home.
