He said that?

He said it will be very good result. Be patient wait for 17th. Then the screen pop out and show profit forecast of 1.4b for current financial year.

Most probably its analyst forecast. No sane chairman will divulge such a sensitive number before the official QR date.

The way he talks reminds me of those old Chinese teachers/headmasters I had at primary school.

The type of person who emphasise a lot on discipline and moral values.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Sep 11 2020, 09:59 PM)
this pharma thingy is very tricky.

so far, the pharma counters up and down is pure goreng.

1. menteri already said the 2 will not be exclusive for a vaccine.

2. whoever gets the contract - what if gomen (no money) allows that a thin margin only to do the job.
menteri said it will be free for all malaysians, didn't he?

3. no pharma has shown impressive and trustworthy results.
those phase 3 trial co. share prices have been fairly stagnant, nothing much to show.
like dengue, ebola, h1n1, sars, mers.... a truly effective vaccine may be elusive for some time.
or maybe there will be 20 vaccines for diff age, race, health condition, geographical area, etc.

i will not go into them yet, not until a few things are clear.
*
Menteri is a politician. Last time Najib last week say wont hold GE for another 1 year, the next week “dengan itu saya mohon membubarkan parlimen”. You never know

This is a stock that confirm will goreng when the vaccine is out. You must hold it before the vaccine is out. Find a good entry point, get in and just hold.

How would you foresee such a global pandemic in 2020 ? Without pandemic gloves stocks are boring stocks.
*
Pandemic comes every now and then. However, Covid-19 is much more severe than the previous ones.

SARS, Ebola etc did not create such panic and such a surge in healthcare equipment's demand.

Fair enough. Let me correct myself

Epidemics occurs from time to time. Same thing. Grammar nazi.

Exactly what I pointed out few days ago.

SC must investigate this.

1) what caused the removal of the previous analyst?

2) what is the process of Issuing reports in Macquarie? Who approve them prior to issuance?

3) what is the volume of the C67 warrant when it crashed and who bought it. Are the buyers Macquarie, proxy of Macquarie or clients of Macquarie?

You know how many "smart" people have been duped by scams in the past? Have you ever read about the 2008 US financial crisis whereby a large number of investment bankers barely know jack about what they're doing or the products they're selling?

The problem with the report is how it's presented. Who on earth projects TP 3 years in advance and uses it to bait less informed investors?
*
They can write whatever bearish report, its fine to have opinions which are contrary to other analysts on the street.

My problem with them is:

1) How they changed their stance, downgrading 2 notch directly from overperform to underperform.
2) The conflict of interest. Timing of the report is just 1 month before the expiry of their really low exercise price warrants.

This should be a reminder for everyone - investment banks earn money from their clients, not the other way around. Don't try to earn money from investment banks or try to outsmart investment banks in their own game. They are the professionals, they have bigger tools & weapons to kill you.

Nett 40mil inflow. That is pretty weak given last friday so hot.

Would have thought we have few hundred mils inflow.

Thats normal, cos no road block at all on last fri. This is because majority traders already kena kill off and cut loss liao.
*
You guys seem to implying that the table depicts the net fund flow among glove companies only.

The table actually depicts the net fund flow in KLSE, not just glove companies... Lets not forget that KLCI was carried by the 2 glove companies on Friday. The rest of the KLCI components were red.

Got a quick question - would it be better to make a limit order but set a higher price (maybe around 20 cents higher than closing price) if the stock is expected to be very high demand? Or market order is a better option? What happens if I wanted 10 lots for example with market order, but at market price only enough to get 5?
*
What do you mean "at market price only enough to get 5"? If you have sufficient trading limit in your trading account, you will always successfully buy the stock using a market order, but don't know what price.

The history in the past few months of glove mania has shown that the sentiments of forumers here does not matter, glove counters can always take us by surprise again and again. This implies that either:

1) None of the us here have large enough cash or position to move the market; or
2) Maybe some of us do, but choose not to openly disclose his/her sentiment openly (which is understandable.

Supermax warrants all occupy top 5 gainers. Revenge against the IBs? brows.gif

IBs dont freaking care about warrant price unless they are trading it themselves...

Their P&L is driven by the underlying mother share price.

Looks like Supermax has broken through the resistance. I expect the Big 4 to continue to trend upwards tomorrow.  I think still good room to make some money tomorrow. Then public holiday on Wednesday.

Then Thursday is D-Day for Top Glove.

P/S: I sold off Adventa and Careplus fully in the afternoon before they hit limit up just now. That was a difference of about 6% to 7% from my selling price. This would have made a lot of difference to my realised profit. But we should not be too greedy in life!
*
Haha.

If you try to sell at the top, you risk being the greatest fool.
