Firstly, it's your decision and I am NOT giving investment advice.

But there's a saying: "When in doubt, sell half, keep half."

The decision is yours.

QUOTE(Bendan520 @ Apr 7 2020, 11:47 PM)
Well I'm back in, right now with all in my bullets.

Should I collect for the long game? or exit with 30% profits.. that's my dilemma

QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Apr 8 2020, 12:02 AM)
Who wants to commit harakiri by buying AA?

“A research house calls for urgent intervention to save AirAsia Group, as its cash position can only support its fixed costs for less than five months”.

That's the way it is during the BN days, when M'sia is regarded as a defensive market. Before the 2 bad years for the M'sian stock market.

QUOTE(zstan @ Apr 16 2020, 11:53 AM)
Wah asia shares all red, except for Malaysia. What is this sorcery.

I'm a survivor of the 2015 oil price crash.

Be very careful ... this is a gruesome industry. Two oil & gas "blue chips" of 2014 are trading today at less than 5% their 2014 share price.

QUOTE(MasterConfucion @ Apr 20 2020, 08:58 PM)
what is good oil and gas counter to buy tomorrow?

Dow down 5% now.

I already cancelled all my unfilled orders, in the hope of lower prices in the days ahead.

Glad I have a small short position and a small position in gold.

Glad still have some dry powder.

But who knows, maybe this 'sales' is 1-2 nights only tongue.gif

Recall that in March, on some days the markets go down sharply, on other days they rebound sharply. So be careful out there - nanti some ppl buy on rebound, then cut loss the next day tongue.gif

I get a sense of deja vu. I have seen all these reactions before .... cries of 'manipulated' in 2009, 2010 ... mania and eventual disappointment in property, crypto, and now ... tongue.gif

I don't necessary agree with what you wrote but damn, I'm impressed with your ability to write and the effort you put in.

Reminds me of that Choivo guy in i3. Both of your should apply to be stock analysts.

Btw the US stock market is now red.

QUOTE(lauwenhan @ Sep 11 2020, 12:15 AM)
I've been researching this a LOT lately because I didn't want to get caught in it. Looking at trends and past data. I believe, strongly, that we're in the middle of the market crash.

Re: the highlighted.
1. Mind posting examples of '2 months free rent' maybe from ads in iproperty or propertyguru to back up your claims?
2. Re: looking into buying commercial real estate. I could be mistaking u for someone else, but I thought u re a student?

QUOTE(lauwenhan @ Sep 11 2020, 12:15 AM)
**Commercial Real Estate Crash**: The eviction crisis is a real threat to our economy. It's brushed under the rug pretty heavily, pointing to the home real estate market and its gains, but the damage is done. Most major commercial real estate buildings, especially apartments, are in disarray. Go look around and see the kinds of deals your local apartments are offering. Where I am, I'm seeing up to 2 months of free rent in some places. I've never seen that before. Everyone is desperate for paying tenants. Most commercial properties can weather a bit of this kind of thing, but we haven't seen anything like this. Small businesses are shutting down, new businesses are not opening. No one is shopping. Who replaces those lost tenants? All these properties are heavily in debt. That's how the industry works, for the most part. Entrepreneurs and builders finance all projects because they are seen as very safe and it's a rule of thumb to never use your own money for investment. The margins had become abysmal before corona. I once looked into buying commercial real estate and found that I would only cover the expenses and have to solely rely on the property value increasing, to make anything worthwhile. This will cause properties to bleed out extremely fast. There is a commercial real estate collapse coming, likely within 6 months, and it will compound any damage the tech bubble has done. Don't forget that this isn't strictly a US problem. This is a worldwide problem.
Even with a vaccine, we won't go back to normal fast enough to recover the losses. The airline industry is reporting that they don't estimate returns to normal until late 2021, early 2022. Do you think a random Joe has enough liquidity to keep his business running that long at extreme drought? The people at the bottom of the chain, consumers and small business owners, were never prepared to have a cash supply on hand for this kind of hit to their lives. That *is* going to trickle up to the top and when it does, goodbye market.

I'm an investor, not a trader. No idea if it will go up or down after results, but will hold. Let the winners run tongue.gif

QUOTE(lauwenhan @ Oct 30 2020, 10:37 AM)
sad.gif So disappointed since I sold early. Bought back at RM16 so missed out on a lot of profit. Are you holding past earnings? QR next Wednesday. It would be a little difficult to beat their previous bombastic result

Return of political stability is good for the market. Looking objectively at the sentiments on the ground and putting aside personal political beliefs, there is little doubt BN will win big.

In a research note Monday, Deutsche Bank called the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine news “a big deal” that puts the world on track for wide-scale inoculation to COVID-19 by the middle of 2021:

QUOTE
We should all be smiling this morning. With Astrazeneca releasing trial results a few hours ago, our updated analysis suggests we are now on track for the majority of the developed world to immunize its vulnerable population to COVID by the spring and the entire population by mid-year. Depending on the pace of vaccine distribution there may even be upside to this estimate with some countries achieving herd immunity before summer. The combined vaccine news of the last few weeks is an unprecedented victory for science that will lead to a much faster pace of normalization to our daily lives compared to what we would have assumed just a few weeks ago. By spring, things should be looking much closer to normal.

Even if vaccination for developing world is slower, this news has me grinning from ear to ear biggrin.gif
