so seeing a big block doesn't necessary mean the price will be supported there..............
there's not much point in putting money in the banking sector at this very moment......

big funds are trying to put a big block at that price, cuz they dun want it to fall lower than that?

Might be true, giving the current market sentiment for banks. I will give PE 8 (using 2019 precovid data) cause PE 8 is low enough to account for credit loss already (except for PBB and HLB, less npl, PE 10 for them)

Maybank 73.4*8 = RM5.87 (IF you die die want say maybank NPL ratio will be as good as PBB and HLB, give PE 10 then RM 7.34, still too overpriced)
PBB 141.97*10 = RM14.2
HLB 130.23*10 = RM13.02
CIMB 46.98*8 = RM 3.76
BIMB 44.75*8 = RM 3.58
RHB 61.92*8 = Rm 4.95

Banks that are significantly lower than these prices, can SLOWLY collect. P/B should also be taken into account, the lower P/B, the better.

But, lets all not buy banks for now, let it drop more and buy low together. With all the attention at gloves and goreng pennies, banks wont go up much even if people start collecting

I know we have a lot of rich ppl with very strong buying power here. Dont push the price too high for us :')

NPL is expected to be 1.7-1.8%. Very manageable.
PE 8 already price in NPL already IMO.

But yes dont buy now. Let them drop boys.

Its alright, sunk cost, dont care. What matters most is how can we play this rebound right, buy banks cheap enough before rebound.

Fund managers informed that in 2021, the focus will be on finance and gaming (U shape recovery) when the economy recovers next year.
Still have 4 months before end of 2020. So dont FOMO, please let them crash more

If you insist on buying... try to buy 7.30 or below.... ( 7 would be better of course )
