He has been upgraded to 81 last week, well if based on fifa stats he will be our best defender, tall, good defending, considerably fast and strong physically at 24yo. Let's judge him on the pitch nxt season, but for a free transfer we cant ask for more. So nxt season matip + sakho combo?

I'd rather not have Sakho as starting 11 tbh..he has lost his form since he returned from injury. Very clumsy defending at times. I hope Lovren can come back and maintain his somewhat improved form this season. If he reverts back to last season's form, then he can be sold in the summer

sakho is good when he is standing on the pitch. But somehow he likes to put his butt on the pitch when defending. Meaning he allows opposition to get pass him after he failed his initial tackle and fell on the pitch. That's fukken frustrating.

sakho could learn a thing or two from old master toure about shepherding an attacker wide before putting in a tackle. So could blood & thunder skrtl & lovren for that matter.
