Honestly, I don't blame the fans who are taking this course of action to make a point.
Though perhaps probably in FSG's POV, it's to recoup back some >300million (it was 370m) splurged on (generally) mediocre signings. Sorry it's sound terribly harsh but also look, before the >300mil, there was an another outlay of over 100mil of going relatively (generally) brit players for his predecessor. While not all were duds, only a less than handful could even walk on the carpet that a team assembled and struck fear in oppositions heart.
FSG did say when they came, they knew little football of the land and trusted the club with their money vault. Liverpool management (directors and the core trustees) after rafa's managerial tenure wanted to pursue domestic players after years of diversity foreign buys. Alright I won't go back to rehash those debates but that we all knew what happened and was cemented as a blip.
There new ticket pricing structure came about even after discussions with several of the local Liverpool supporters groups broke down. FSG appears to not heed the recommendations of the supporters (groups).
I hope this doesn't distract the current players and Klopp. The last thing I want is outside distractions creeping into the players minds like what happened to Rafa's final years. In the beginning many have pleaded that FSG isn't like G&H (who spent little for players buys in comparison what they dipped into Liverpools kitty instead, to pay the interest for the loan that financed the the owners greed).
Perhaps maybe FSG isn't G&H after all over 470million (players transfer under 2 manager) and more money (figure not disclosed from my understanding but it won't chicken feet numbers) to
redevelop the stadium and properties around Anfield (needed for the stadium extension)
Hopefully both the owners and fans reach some realistic compromise.
FSG aren't the oil sheiks, there were never as rich, though given the problems of the oil prices, that's too gonna hurt those oil owners (if not now, but it will eventually if I might say)
I would like to think we can ride thru this if fans can come to a reality check
Can't help but feels that Klopp might become the victim from all these. Owner does not entirely back him by increasing the ticket price and supporters leaving ground early to protest. This will further the gap between supporters and the club. It is not healthy.
