Try using uber vault. If still same problem then it's time to visit the office.

that's for bank account details. not credit/debit card details. i want to enter my credit/debit card details.

QUOTE(juicyliana @ Feb 21 2017, 11:25 AM)

by the way, i received an email from uber to ask me to put in my credit card / debit card in the driver app within 2 weeks. I will not do so and if they want to block me, they can go ahead. As a driver, i cannot choose whether the ride is cash trip or card trip. if it is cash trip, i cannot also control if the rider plays dirty and not to pay full. since i'm not given a choice, i won't fulfill their request of giving my credit card number.

On top of that, this RM0.99 promo sucks.... most of the time i drive 4-5km to pick up a 1-3km ride. so this increases the picking up distance and time for the driver to only get short trips. For example, it is better to drive 5km to pick up a 20km ride. but with the RM0.99 promo, to do the same 20km, u might need to drive a total of 15km to pick up to earn 20km of ride from 5 riders.
*
I thought I'm the only one who received the email because I havent enter my card details.

so this afternoon, while driving to PJ, I decided to stop by at the PSC and ask them about this. the guy said that no need to put in card details if I already entered my bank details. then why did uber sent the email? hmm.gif

i got a rider yesterday that compaint about the RM0.99 promo. he said certain hours it is hard for him to get even a ride and he suspect uber drivers don't 1 2 pick up those RM0.99 promo riders. When the boost period is gone or low, drivers tend not to drive anymore. he finds that without the promo, it is a better ride as drivers are always available.
*
the other day, a rider complained to me as well. he said i'm his 3rd driver who finally reached to him. the others all cancelled. now I know why..

Cancelled means , Accept Ping, reach destination for pickup, then canceled once it show those short distance 0.99 ?

Or Accept Ping, click Arrived , know location already , then cancelled ?
*
I don't know. the guy didn't mentioned it. his trip worth more than 0.99 anyway so too bad to the other drivers.

urm, yesterday was abit low, because a wrong rider sat on my car, thus i didn't get paid, today i managed to do 4 trips with 1hr 10 min online with nett RM22.29 payout with 13.44km distance excluding travelling to riders pick up location, should be ok rite?
*
an advice from a newbie to another newbie, don't compare your earnings with the others. you, yourself, should set your own target or limit to what you can earn or what you must earn.

every morning, I aim to earn at least RM30 to earn back my fuel cost and RM100 as my minimum daily target as it was my previous job daily pay. if I can achieve both target, I'm happy already.

need confirmation, if driver cancelled a trip, the rider won't be charged right? I got a rider today, she was charged extra rm5. she asked why, i told her that she probably cancelled a trip previously. she said it was the driver who cancelled it.

Will be charged if driver arrived and waited 5 minutes and decide cancelled

ah.. I forgot about that. but then, on her app, it said her fare was only RM0.99 and she insisted to pay only RM 0.99. so I only accept RM1 as her fare.

3) The pings came in non-stop during the peak hours in the busy area. What is the taikor here normally do if the next rider ping already in (before dropping off the passager in the car) but wish to take a short break or stop driving? If I ignore the ping, it does not look goods on my acceptance rate  hmm.gif

*
if you wanna have a break after a trip, go offline first or set stop new request while on a trip so that there won't be any ping later.

Cannot off the phone because I have not dropped the first customer off.

Next rider ping came in before I dropped the first customer.

didn't ask you to off your phone la doh.gif tap on the left side of the app, you'll see your trip details. below that, there's an option stop new request. use that. it's on the youtube tutorial video. watch it again.

made the best decision so far today. I decided to ditch KL at lunch hour and go to wangsa maju area instead. at least I didn't have to go far far away to pick up a rider or face the uber reassign to nearest rider problem. plus, the surge was quite high up til 2.1x.

Got annoyed with this one rider. I arrived at her location, I can see that she's playing with her phone but I wasn't sure it was her. I turned around my car, and saw her approaching my car. So ok la, pick her up. Greet each other and I drove to her destination which was The Curve. I picked her up from Bandar Sunway so, logically, I took the LDP to get to The Curve. Too bad, it started raining and the traffic is building up. My waze already suggested another route, was about to ask her whether I should take thr route but she was too occupied with her phone, talking to her god knows who. So I said wth just go with LDP la since the suggested route was a bit further than the current route. I don't want her to be charged more than she probably wanted. Then, she finally noticed that it took too long to reach the Curve with the traffic and she started making noise about it. She started accusing me that I took that route because I want her to get extra charge because of the traffic. I was like wth you were on the phone the whole time and now you're making noise. When we finally arrived at the curve, i just apologize to her for the traffic. Good thing she said it's okay, it's not my fault.

Oh man.

Luckily, just after her trip, I accepted another trip from Mutiara Damansara to Country Homes Rawang. With surge at that time, managed to earn RM50 from the trip.

/End of rant

I felt that since promo 0.99 is over, it really less demand now by uber, less ping. Even when i am the boost area, there are time i have waste to search for ping. Include also when at red are. For example now even when i at mid valley, there are no ping after 5-10 minutes there. Compared during promo, endless of ping at mid.

On the promo weeks, i can get easily rm200-260 daily from 830am to 5 or 530pm.

Nowadays it stuck to at rm130-140 on the same time duration.
*
same here. I drove around wangsa maju and setapak area for 30 minutes. only got 1 ping at sri rampai. luckily yesterday and today got klia trip. or else probably only get around RM100 a day.

Yesterday I started from Sri Petaling around 7.30am but end up stuck almost whole afternoon until night time in Shah Alam. Taking rest on and off, ended up 14 trips and make less than RM200 after nearly 10 hours online.

Today I started from Bangsar but the journey took me to Shah Alam around 6pm, then i got stuck again in Shah Alam and Subang area until 9pm. The earning is so minimal and upsetting.
So exhausted for these 2 days drive.

Need advice
*
a noob's advice: don't stay at 1 part of town more than 2 hours. if you happened to be stuck there for more than 2 hours driving riders around, just go offline, move to the nearest busy town. Shah Alam is a dead town. other than uitm and unisel students going back and forth from their house to campus, not much places that they want to go. after 2 hours or whatever your threshold is and you still couldn't find a rider who want to do a long trip, go offline, move to subang jaya or klang.

so far, I am lucky enough to get 2 or 3 short trips and then 1 trip that move to other town. then I get another 2 or 3 short trips before move to another town with another rider. mind you, I start my day sometimes at 10 am. on my best day, before 2 pm, I would have reach RM100 mark. yesterday was the worst so far since the promo was over. only managed to reach RM100 after 5 pm.

hi guys. i just started doing uberX. usually start from my area, bangi. usually will get rider going to putrajaya or klia2. but i got problems when rider want to go to KL area like kl sentral etc. i don't know where to wait to get customer. so i often go back to seri kembangan/serdang/bangi area. there i know i rugi already.

any advice on what to do after dropping rider at KL? i dont know KL road so i need gps guidance to go to any landmark/area like petrol station if i want to wait for ping.
*
just familiar yourself with KL road first. I grew up in KL suburbs, only after driving uber I realized that KL is such a small city only. once you've familiar with the road, you can go anywhere you like. why waste time to go back to bangi? the time you've wasted could be used to drive around KL and learn about all the roads.

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Mar 24 2017, 01:35 PM)
Slowly sooner or later, you will familiarize yourself with the area. Especially the popular places such as shopping mall like Mid Valley, Pavillion, KLCC. Easy thing is to know what shop is available at that entrance. Mostly passenger will landmark that base on the shop at the entrance, not the entrance name. Lol.

So anyone know how many entrances at Mid Valley? Haha. Crazy place. (not include The Garden yet).
*
oh man. for mid valley, I still can't get the hang of it. the entrances is part of the problem. the exit, where you need to go out to find your way out of midvalley is also another problem lol
