hi guys,
just checking if Uber will penalize us for example, if our officemate know that we're a part time Uber driver, and they keep booking us on several days, will Uber count this as "gaming the system" ? help, as I do not want to be banned as my rating is so far 4.88 |

QUOTE(onceonce @ May 30 2016, 11:11 AM) Dear drivers, I have question regarding acceptance rate. Let just say i am about to complete a trip and another request pop up, can i actually reject that request and will it affect my acceptance rate? yes, it will affect your acceptance rate. Above situation happened several times as i'm about to call it a day. We weren't given an option to end it or make it the last request we would do. personally, I kinda hate it as it interrupt my focus on my current trip. Good thing for rider, as the system assign the nearest driver, and informing them that the current driver is about to drop off the current rider. that's why nowadays, I prefer to do Grab as I don't get request while in the current trip. Also, the 25% uber fee also sux. Just my two cents though |

QUOTE(2feidei @ Jun 13 2016, 03:51 PM) Lel....have you heard the proverb "the quiet dog is the most scariest and that can kill? some rider prefer to sit at the back, so nothing we can do about it. I believe they still deserve 5 star as long as they not making any fuss, example ask to be picked up at high end condo, and did not put notes to pick up at lobby for specific block, and end up we as a driver waited 5 minutes and rider suddenly call asking where were we?Yeah, any rider who wait for me, automatically qualify for 5* from me, except they really rude or sit at back seat |

QUOTE(urra901109 @ Jun 22 2016, 11:46 PM) Guys, this is what happen to me today. I got a ping, vroom2 to ping location, saw no one. Called the rider, she said shes at "this" particular location. Demn, i have to ask around to find her. After asking around, it turns out to be so far, more than 1km, so i simply start the trip, because my logic is at that time, even if i cancel the rider request i am sure that i am going to get ping from her again. I dont think shes is happy even after i explained and showed her where is her original pickup location and it is completely reasonable for me to start the trip at the location. I got back, my rating go down. 😂 yeah, it happened to me once. GPS pin at Fajaria condo at Jalan Lembah Pantai, but the rider actually waiting at Girl Scout building (opposite UM entrance). Call rider and explain but rider not happy and scream why I not at the right place.. try to explain to her that it could be due to incorrect GPS pin. She still not happy, and I explain that she better cancel it if she;s not happy, end up she cancelled. Sometimes, GPS pin could not be trusted, especially if we are not familiar with the area. my suggestion, do not start trip unless the rider is already in the car, unless you want your rating to go down way fastt |

QUOTE(2feidei @ Jun 28 2016, 10:43 AM) Even complain oso we driver won't know dude, it's not proper to threaten customer as they can use that SMS to report to Uber and get you banned. but so far, after driving for 6 months, my feedback from the apps is mainly on bad route/ city knowledge (3 times) and late arrival/ missed ETA (1 time), which I don't give a dammed, as I am not walking GPS, if the rider expect me to know all the routes, too bad, you better hire personal driver, either you guide me with your preferred route or I will follow GPS. Late arrival or missed ETA? Hello....I am religiously follow GPS to reach the rider, but, what can I do if the stupid Uber apps constantly under declared the ETA time? Yesterday was not my day, received request with incomplete address, just show street name. Sms no reply, thought ok lah, drive towards there first, nearer to location, give the rider a call to ask exact location. Manatau, almost 200m to location, driving to about 4km, have not reach 5 min yet, the rider cancelled it Next time, if rider no give complete address, I will not even start my journey. I will sms them for exact location, reply or call me only I start. Else, you wait long long lah. For troublesome customers, don't take it personally, and just move on. |

QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Jul 14 2016, 09:22 AM) which email or function did u use to write to Uber regarding this? Exactly! I really hate the incoming trip request while completing the current trip. It's really annoying with the sound. Also, what if we need to make a crucial turn into a junction that we cannot miss, and due to the incoming 2nd trip that we need to accept (since it will affect acceptance rate), we miss the crucial turn.I'd like to do so myself too. Really badly affecting acceptance % for part time driver like myself. Did 2 trips yesterday cuz have other stuff to do after that. at the end of my 2nd trip, 3 requests pop up. All 3 I cancel cuz I need to go home after that. So end up having a 40% acceptance rating. Another annoying thing is, while the current trip still ongoing, I'll need navigation guidance from Waze to drive, the sudden request pop up made me unsure which junction to turn. Its really dangerous. I think if more drivers write in to comment about this they might reconsider this flawed system. Current customer if they notice that we miss that crucial turn, will scream at us, and affect our current rating |

QUOTE(guanteik @ Sep 27 2016, 10:09 AM) "In June, Uber announced the global roll out of Scheduled Rides. On behalf of Uber in Malaysia, we’re excited to share that starting 27 September 2016, Scheduled Rides will be available in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Penang, Johor Bahru and Kota Kinabalu. " is scheduled rides same as GrabHitch? I have been driving GrabHitch for a month, with 30 trips now. just wondering if the function is the same as GrabHitch |

QUOTE(guanteik @ Sep 28 2016, 05:35 PM) Actually... there's a way. I found it out. agreed, for me if I get KLIA trip, I will not wait, and go to Nilai -->Cyberjaya-->Putrajaya--Bangi--Kajang--KLYou may take the road that leads you to Putrajaya/Cyberjaya without paying the toll. Then hope you get someone from Cyberjaya/Putrajaya to get you out. along the way, normally I will get ping. Therefore, I will not waste money on toll or petrol. |

QUOTE(juicyliana @ Sep 29 2016, 10:44 AM) have you guys got your payment from uber for payment statement 19 Sept - 26 Sept? same with me. I emailed Uber support and they say between Wednesday to Friday. Oh well I guess it's gonna be Friday I noticed that mine is not bank in yet. been driving for many months, and normally they always bank in on Wednesday. I guess this was due to the boost 4.0x last Friday, which they need to calculate and reimburse for the driver. |

QUOTE(bonanno @ Oct 5 2016, 04:25 PM) should be this Friday. I guess they set a new date for payment, which is "between Wednesday and Friday". As for last week, it was paid on Friday. So yeah, I guess Friday is now the pay day. No more Wednesday as per last time. |

QUOTE(VLVL @ Oct 12 2016, 10:53 AM) bad luck for me again this morning.pick up a customer from ara damansara to shah alam. only earned rm10 as there is no boost at that area. empty car go to work.. try sign up for grabhitch. it now have quick hitch features, that allows you to check if any passenger wants to go somewhere nearby your destination. that's what I did now if got stuck somewhere not in CSA |
