QUOTE(adamhzm90 @ Jan 26 2016, 05:05 PM) I joined ong last year nov..contract one year.. If I were you I will work as hard as possible even though contract. If you show you are good enough, your contract should be extended. At the same time save up as much money possible to survive the time of no job.But now based on current condition.better for me to apply for other fields as well.. |

Those who don't mind working offshore as operator level can apply with ExxonMobil just for sharing. Saw the add in Starjobs recently.

QUOTE(azraeil @ Jan 27 2016, 08:34 AM) Day raters, MSCs and Contract Direct Hires are being offered permanent positions in Petronas but obviously, there will be massive pay cuts (for Day Raters and MSCs especially). So we'll see. Seriously Petronas still hiring? At this point of time I already feel Petronas is over staffed with a lot of redundant positions. Dah la PSC terms not on their side. Hopefully Petronas is making the right move if not our country only suffer and tax payers suffers.Ahh the "ignore mode" is such a blessing. |

My insider news. Staff increment and performance reward still available. No group VSS. VSS only for people with redundant position and unable to be transferred to other Petronas functions.

Even if it goes to $50 I don't think companies will change their operations strategy that much. This low oil price was like a wake up call.

QUOTE(TheReaderReads @ Mar 28 2016, 03:57 PM) So many OUCH post Try delay you joining date. Get the retrenchment package then join the construction company. Best of both worlds hahaAnyway, ayam just got offered back to the construction (buildings) industry in Singapore. Should I leave OnG here in Malaysia since company announce if not win project, will cut ppl by next mth if nt May2016? Or should I take Singapore and not look back eventhough it is the construction industry. Actually for me, nth bad about construction just that my years spend in OnG experiences are all wasted... I feel like I wasted those effort. Going back construction, almost like starting over again... even the pay almost But if I dun take it, I scared I will get retrench next mth and without job to pay of those commitments |

QUOTE(ZZMsia @ Apr 1 2016, 12:49 PM) That is true which is not surprising because that benefit is only for an employee currently employed with the company. Once retrenched you are no longer considered as an employee therefore no longer entitled to the benefits that is provided by the company. |

QUOTE(meonkutu11 @ Apr 1 2016, 01:55 PM) Wow...is that mean those retrenched need to apply new loan or just change it to new interest rate? There are two options. First option is that your loan will be converted to follow the current market interest rate. After conversion that rate might not be the best rate. Therefore you may want to get a new loan from another bank.if apply new, that will be hard (considering no employment status) |
